The marches bring out the wrong message and should not be supported. If they were against immigration then they should focus their message around that instead of focussing it on a specific religion. This will bring people on the wrong track. If you want to have anti immigration campaigns, then that is fine. Then make sure that you are ACTUALLY protesting against immigration instead of creating an anti-Islam movement. This, because creating anti-Islam movements is just racists being stupid. #startrant In the Netherlands this topic comes by all the time because of this "genius" politician who can't shut up about how evil the Islam is. The worst thing is that he gets a lot of attention. This man keeps saying stuff like 80% of the Islam in the Netherlands would actually want to join ISIS, the Koran is evil, we should ban the Islam blablabla. We are talking about refugees here, not some people going to have a fun adventures on Hawaii. These people fled their countries because they were incapable of living there in a safe environment. They had to abandon their homes and families just to live somewhere safe. Could you imagine how that would feel like? To live your life in fear, then leaving your loving family and homes because you want to escape this fear and then finally arriving at this safe environment where the people are like: "Get out and never come back again"? I know I couldn't imagine at all how this would feel, not even close. Thinking about this made me realise that it is good to let immigrants in, people deserve to move to a safe environment. I also think that we should make it easy for the immigrants to make them feel at home in the country where they immigrate. If they would feel at home here, then they would also perform less crimes and would blend much easier into society. However, this of course would have its costs and should have its limits. Although to say what these limits should be, I don't have the background knowledge to judge.[/quote]
