Teemo
Very hard to deal with without jungle help. In this matchup before lvl6 you try to make him use his Q on you and then the second it's down -> you engage him with W+E and few autos and then walk away and just repeat the process. Otherwise if this isn't the case you just need to farm and pray for your Jungler to come or team wins

==================================================
Ability Order & Basics
Skill Priority
- Max W — Kingslayer
- Then E — Abscond / Abduct
- Last Q — Chain Lash
- Level R whenever possible
W is your main damage, sustain, and trading tool.
==================================================
Laning Phase Fundamentals
Early Game
- Weak before level 3 — play disciplined
- Trade only when enemy wastes cooldowns
- Never fight with W on cooldown
Wave Control
- Freeze when behind
- Push and roam when lane is unplayable
- Vision is mandatory — Sylas is punishable
==================================================
Advanced Sylas Mechanics — Double W Combo
One of the most important Sylas techniques for winning hard lanes.
What is the Double W Combo?
This combo allows Sylas to use W — Kingslayer twice in a single trade by correctly sequencing spells and autos.
Execution
W → Auto → E1 → E2 → Auto → W
Key Notes
- Requires ability haste
- Always auto between spells
- Use first W for sustain, second to win trade
When to Use
- Versus sustain champions
- After dodging key abilities
- In close or losing trades
==================================================
Threats & Difficult Matchups
These matchups demand discipline, patience, and precise cooldown tracking.
==================================================

- Bait his Q first
- Trade only when blind is down
- Otherwise farm and wait for jungle

Synergies
Sylas thrives with teammates that provide reliable engage, crowd control, or skirmish power. These champions enable Sylas to reach fights safely, fully stack Conqueror, and abuse stolen ultimates in coordinated plays.
==================================================
Amumu — Ideal
- Why it works:
Amumu offers some of the strongest AoE engage in the game, which perfectly fits Sylas’s teamfight-focused playstyle. - How to play it:
Fight around objectives. After Amumu’s R, Sylas can freely engage, use Double W, and chain stolen ultimates on grouped enemies.
Jarvan IV — Ideal
- Why it works:
Jarvan provides early pressure, reliable ganks, and strong engage with his ultimate. - How to play it:
Jarvan’s R traps enemies in place, giving Sylas guaranteed access to priority targets and easy spell rotations in fights.
Qiyana — Strong
- Why it works:
Qiyana and Sylas both excel in skirmishes and chaotic fights. - How to play it:
Look for river and jungle fights where Qiyana’s ult stuns multiple targets, allowing Sylas to instantly follow up and snowball fights.
Lee Sin — Ideal
- Why it works:
Lee Sin enables early tempo and top-side pressure, helping Sylas survive hard lanes. - How to play it:
Use Lee’s early ganks to gain lane control, then transition into mid-game skirmishes where Sylas shines.
Sejuani — Ideal
- Why it works:
Sejuani provides tankiness, long CC chains, and reliable engage. - How to play it:
Sejuani locks targets in place, allowing Sylas to commit fully without risk and dominate extended fights.
Vladimir — Strong
- Why it works:
Both champions scale well and thrive in extended teamfights. - How to play it:
Vladimir’s AoE damage softens teams, while Sylas dives and sustains through the fight using Double W.
Leona — Ideal
- Why it works:
Leona offers point-and-click engage and heavy lockdown. - How to play it:
Once Leona engages, Sylas can instantly follow with E chains and stolen ultimates, making fights extremely hard for enemies to escape.

Final Notes
Sylas Toplane is not about brute force — it’s about timing, cooldown abuse, and ultimate control. Master the Double W combo, understand your matchups, and play the map when lane is unplayable.
If you don’t die early — you will always be useful.
