She has a long auto attack range, don't let her poke u for free, if ur getting minions u can tank some autos, if her passive is not up, try to get a trade, Exhaust is really good against her.
Vex
Vex is really unplayable, just try to not get poked too much and u can even lose some minions for it before ur jungler ganks u, if u have no gank setup, just play for CS and try to not die, on 2 items, u outscale her on sidelane, Go exhaust against vex
LeBlanc
Leblanc is a hard matchup, but if u know what u are doing u can easily survive this lane, U can either run Lethal tempo exhaust if u feel confident, Or u can go grasp ignite, or exhaust, Or u can even go Fleet exhaust or TP, If she W's on top of u when the minions are up, u just run her down if its before 6, U need to be really calm with your windwall and use it to dodge her E ( Using E Q W ) is really good to get a free trade.
Taliyah
Killing taliyah before 6 is really hard, U can't really trade with her if she has E up, Lethal Tempo exhaust is better than grasp in this matchup because after 6 if u hit a Q3, u want to ult her and run her down with exhaust. (After ult bait out her W and use ur windwall for her Q so she doesnt get phaserush activated)
Aurora
Aurora early levels are stronger than yasuo, Don't try to E start against her, she hard wins lvl 1, Level 2 u still can't trade against her, because she hits Q on 6 minions and puts a mark on each minion, if u E on top of her ur gonna get hit by all the Marks, wait for 3 and get a good trade, Run exhaust flash and LT.
Kennen
Kennen matchup is really hard, because if u get into melee range he is just gonna stun you, dont let him get stacks on u , if he has 2 stacks on top of u don't try to force a trade Grasp is necessary in this matchup, exhaust is better than ignite in this matchup.
Lissandra
U can run cleanse into lissandra, or u can go tenacity rune, but I recommend cleanse into Lissandra, dont level up your E or Q yet, if she starts Q , u can E start and run her down, if ur not sure and she is holding her abilities just level up Q and try to get minions and tornado stack. Because u run cleanse, u dont have to run QSS in this matchup.
Akali
Akali is a tricky matchup, Grasp and Ignite is necessary in this matchup, First 5lvls, yasuo is stronger with grasp and ignite, after 6 she has a better all in, if u are not close to your tower she can easily burst u down, if u are not confident in this matchup u can also run Grasp Exhaust, but I recommend Grasp and Ignite. PD Grasp build is really good against her, if MR has value u can run mercs with Grasp into her.
Azir
U can E start into azir level 1, I recommend Lethal Tempo against azir, don't get poked early levels, u can get a early solokill on him easily, even if u don't u can look to ward enemy jungle or help your jungler. U can windwall his Ult.
Corki
E start into corki is really bad, corki beats yasuo first 2 levels, don't get poked too much before level 3, after level 3 u can look to trade with him with ur Windwall, try to use ur windwall efficiently for example (windwall his Q and autos) U can either run Grasp Or Lethal tempo, its preference ( Lethal tempo is better in this mu imo)
Diana
Diana actually hard beats yasuo first 2 levels, Exhaust is important in this matchup, Try to not trade before level 3 and play for lvl3 and windwall her q, Run boneplating and exhaust with lethal tempo, if she E's on you u can just exhaust and run her down, or get her flash.
Hwei
U can run Grasp or Lethal tempo into him its preference, don't level up E or Q yet, if he presses Q on the wave or u , u can Level Up your E and get a trade on him, u can either run d shield or d blade its up to you, try to windwall his CC (Fear) the purple ability, Ignite is good into him to get a early lead since he is pretty killable before mana items.
Heimerdinger
Heimerdinger is a tricky matchup, DONT USE UR WINDWALL for anything other than his Grenade (E)
Exhaust and lethal tempo are crucial, once u windwall or dodge his Grenade, u can run him down with exhaust.
Malzahar
Malzahar early levels are pretty easy, u can E start level 1 into him, try to get a solokill before he hits 6, Ignite grasp or ignite Lethal tempo are both fine, after 6 track enemy jungle so u don't die 1v2, since malzahar is a gank setup champion, Ping whenever he doesnt show on the map since after 6 and mana items he can insta push the wave and roam, so ping your teammates.
Orianna
(D shield) Orianna is skill matchup, U can E start into her level 1, grasp or lethal tempo are both fine, I would recommend running ignite in this matchup, try to windwall her E if u are close to her ball so she doesnt get shield, u can kill her early levels, after she buys boots and mana items its hard to get a kill, but she is still killable on sidelane.
Qiyana
Into qiyana, exhaust and D blade is crucial, u can either run Grasp or LT, I prefer LT into qiyana, but grasp is fine too, if she E's on top of u , u can Exhaust her and run her down, u are so much stronger than her first level try to zone her from getting minions, LVL 2 is also good for trading, after 3 be careful to not take too much dmg because she can oneshot u with ignite after ur closer to 60-70%ish HP, so try to save ur exhaust for that.
Swain
Into Swain D shield, Second wind,Lethal tempo and exhaust is Ideal, dont E start into swain, play for lvl2-3 u can kill him before 6, after 6 just play for ur jungler and map since he is really hard to kill and stall out for his supp or jungle, its not worth the risk, Ignite is really good into him,
Irelia
Ignite Lethal Tempo D Blade, Q start into her, ur stronger first levels, dont take minnion aggro and wait for her to Q the first 3 minions and get a trade, if she starts E shes gonna miss minions so ur gonna have lead, Ur stronger than her early levels, after she gets bork and Tabis she can kill u easily, so be careful, use your windwall for her E or Ult, Ideally dodge her E with ur movement or E on the minion and use ur windwall for her ult.
Vladimir
Grasp Ignite D shield Second wind
E start lvl1, get grasp proc, u out heal him with this setup, constantly harras him and don't let him heal up for free, and deny him cs, don't push the wave, and u can run him down, Bork/ Berserker/ Shieldbow/ Doms build is really strong into him, u can kill him on sidelane.
Zoe
Don't E start lvl1, she out trades u, Don't trade lvl2, wait for windwall and u can trade after lvl3, don't recommend to trade without windwall up, everytime u have ur windwall up u can trade against her, use your windwall for her E.
Viktor
Auto the first minion to stack ur grasp, and when the grasp is active, E on him and get a grasp proc, u are slightly stronger than viktor before first base, after some mana and boots, viktor pokes u really hard in lane, u need to space his E to not lose HP, u can all in him if u hit Q3 and dodge his cage.
Yone
Ur stronger than him first 2lvls, force a trade lvl1 with ur passive, try to kill him before he gets bork, if u dont get a lead he just outscales u after first item. U can windwall his Q3 if its long range Q3
Zed
Zone him from first 3 minions, make the wave on your side and if he uses his shadow to get a trade or get minion u can just run him down, dont get poked too much and lose your shield for nothing. U can hold ur Q3 for his ult and ult behind to insta CC combo him with ignite to guarantee the kill.
Syndra
Syndra is really easy first levels u don't need D shield, LVL 1 U want to E start into her, Grasp or Lethal tempo both are good, try To dodge her Q's with ur E and get a trade, save ur windwall for her E, u kill her on sidelane, and early levels. After she gets mana and boots she is hard to kill so play for ur jungler and map.
Fizz
Exhaust Grasp setup into Fizz is ideal, Q start, try to zone him from minions ur stronger first levels, go Boneplating, ur stronger than him 1v1 every stage in the game, this is such a free matchup.
Lux
Grasp/ or Fleet is good into her, if u want to play aggressive run the Grasp setup, if u want to play safe run Fleet.
Don't level up your E or Q yet, If she e's u or the minions u can E start, otherwise she most likely levleled up her Q so don't E start and play for lvl2, u pretty much outscale her, try to make the wave be on your side and u can run her down with ignite
Galio
D blade Lethal tempo Ignite, u are a lot stronger than him every stage in the game, start Q lvl1 and zone him from first minions, Bork is good into him if he goes HP items, Galio by itself is not scary but he has insane gank setup, so be careful to not play cocky if u don't see enemy supp or jgl on the map.
Kassadin
D blade, LT, Ignite, most Kassadins will run the Rod of Ages, Tabis build so Bork is really good into him, Dominiks 3rd is good as well, Zone him from minions and freeze the wave whenever u can, even if he is level 16, he cannot beat u in 1v1 sidelane, after he hits 6, he can roam so don't forget to ping that he is missing everytime he doesn't show on the map, he cannot get a lead in this lane.
Veigar
Grasp D blade ignite into veigar is really good, start E level 1 ur stronger than him first levels, save ur windwall for his Q , after 6 save ur windwall for his ult if u are low hp, he has insane gank setup with his cage, so whenever the enemy jungle and support doesn't show don't force trades.
Vel'Koz
Grasp/Ignite/D blade
U can E start into Vel'Koz, try to not get poked too much, if u push the wave u will miss the chance to punish his early levels, save ur windwall for his E ( They buffed his E, its way faster now so u have to be fast with ur windwall ) if u hit a Q3 on him u can run him down.
Ekko
Grasp Ignite D blade is really good into Ekko, ur stronger level 1, don't try to force trades lvl2, after lvl 3 u outscale him and windwall his Q everytime u trade against ekko this is such a free matchup, if mercs has value u can run mercs after PD.
Akshan
Grasp Ignite D blade
Don't E start into akshan, he will probably have boneplating so ur weaker first lvl, after lvl2 , u can get his boneplating, after lvl3 u outscale him in lane and get grasp procs with windwall everytime, he is a roaming champion so u have to ping ur teammates when he is missing
Talon
Ur stronger than him first levels, Q start, lvl2, don't trade unless he wastes his W, after lvl3 u can trade him whenever u want, use ur Windwall to block his W and Ult. Dont forget to ping him if he's missing
Twisted Fate
Lethal tempo, ignite D blade, lvl1, start E and get a trade, u can kill him early levels usually lvl 2-5, save ur windwall for his cards, he naturally has insane roam potential and gank setups so keep your eye on enemy sup and jungle, and ping your teammates if he is missing.
Xerath
E start, ur stronger early levels. Dont lose your shield and do trades meanwhile ur passive is up, ur a lot stronger than him in every stage of the game, if u hit a Q3 u can run him down, Save ur windwall for his stun (E)
Sylas
Ignite Lethal Tempo D blade, ur a lot stronger first levels, Run boneplating and zone him from first 3 minions, u are stronger than sylas in any time of the game, save ur windwall for his E2, u can block his Ult with ur Windwall to not let him get your ult, or anyone's ult.
Kayle
Zone her from first minions, ur a lot stronger than her, run grasp ignite D blade, u can dive her lvl2-5 if u play it correctly, by poking her and making the wave bad for her (dont push the wave and make the wave on your side so u can punish her whenever she tries to CS), after 6 she is hard to kill so play for map with your jungler.
I go by the name v222 and I been playing League Of Legends since Season 3. Yasuo and Ekko are two of my best champions and my otps and i have a lot of experience with both. I’ve had a lot of success and wins with them and i can confidently say that i know exactly what you need to do to win games with Yasuo and Ekko in season 16 and get some free LP. Im full time streaming on twitch and I played semi-professionally. I have peaked top 20 EUW with 2000 LP in season 16 and been consistently challenger since then.
