Honestly In Philippine Server Katarina is usually BANNED in Ranked Games
The Amumu-Katarina,Malphite-Katarina,Yasuo-Katarina Combos are usually avoided to prevent easy victories.

When you pick Katarina in Ranked Games you should play it well

+Stack Mejai's SoulStealer Fast
+Roam and Gank in other lanes
+Farm Faster
