His Q can dodge any ability and he will appear in your passive stars, making you vulnerable. His ult makes him much faster and he can make a run with it. Keep a distance and counter-gank when he least expects it.
Introduction

*PLEASE READ*
This is my first guide ever and Aurelion Sol is a new champion (for now) and many people don't know much about him. Please follow this guide with caution and feel free to comment some feedback. I'm not an expert in LoL, I'm not gold or diamond. Just a simple unranked LoL player that finds this build really effective and wants to help out some beginners that want to play Aurelion Sol. I feel that this guide is mainly effective on low to medium Elo and unranked games. However with some tweaks this guide could be effective to a much further extent.
From there you're good to go, nothing else in particular you need to do as Sol. Just jungle as normal, max out your Strength of the Ages. Get Runic Echoes and you're good to go.
To take down monsters, just keep a short distance, use your Q and then W. This will stun the monsters and your W will deal the damage. Once they start moving disable your W and just AA and let the stars do the work.
Here's a video on how to kill monsters (Red Buff for example)-
Really simple. What I did is that I stunned it with my Q and dealt damage with my W while it was stunned. I also lured it out so that my W could go on for a longer time and so my stars are perfectly positioned to attack the Red Sentinel and it's minion. And last of all I used my smite and got the kill and the health.
Here's a video on ganking (Bot lane, enemy Renekton example)-
Now, what did I do wrong in this example?
Example Unreliablity Factors -
- Custom bot game
- No teammates
- Bot lane
- Turret down
- Past damaged dealt from previous monsters and enemies (Both me & Renekton)
- Level difference
- Build & Buffs
What Went Well -
- Enemy successfully killed
- Successful flying travel
- W dealt great damaged
- Ult used to push enemy back
- Successful turret dive
What Went Wrong -
- Missed Stun
- Enemy attacked from inside the stars
- Health decreased significantly
- Almost died
- Turret dive required for the kill
Of course this gank wasn't the most realistic nor the most perfect gank. However it was successful but with a couple consequences. I got the kill but I put myself in a very risky situation and almost got myself killed in the process.
