Champion Build Guide

[9.23] Bup's Challenger Lee Sin Guide

By Bupple
Introduction
Hi welcome to my Lee Sin Guide! My name is Bupple i'm a 19 year old NA jungler who hit challenger in season 9 playing mainly Lee Sin. I've been playing ranked since season 4 and first hit diamond in season 6, then hit challenger for the first time in season 9.

I stream almost everyday at twitch.tv/bupple! I generally just practice new mechanics and answer any questions people have in high elo NA ranked.
Strengths & Weaknesses Back to Top
Lee Sin is an extremely versatile champion that has been around since the beginnings of league, he can be very strong with the right mechanics and ideas!

Strengths:
Lee Sin is the most fun champion i've ever played, he is incredibly strong in the right hands and throughout the early game. He can scale decently towards late game with the correct build and runes. Along with all of this he has some of the most impressive play making potential in the game.
    Nearly Unlimited Skill Ceiling
    Massive Potential
    Great Mobility
    Very Fun

Weaknesses:
While Lee Sin is one of the most interesting and fun champions in the game he requires lots of practice to be good at. He is one of the most complex champions in the game alongside champions like Riven, Thresh, Azir, and others.
    Nearly Unlimited Skill Ceiling
    Requires A Very Devoted Player
    Hard To Play From Behind
    Needs Confidence To Stay Ahead
Pathing Back to Top
As we said earlier Lee Sin in the early game is incredibly strong.

He has the ability to win almost every 1v1 in the game and becomes very versatile at level 3. Simple, aggressive pathing is going from Red - Blue - Gromp which will put you at level 3. A quick scan around the map should alert you if there are any available lanes to gank. If no lanes look like a viable gank you can simply get vision and full clear the jungle, Lee Sin has one of the most healthy clears in the game due to his passive and W shield/lifesteal.

Taking Scuttles should be a high priority since Lee thrives in early game skirmishes where he can easily win almost every 1v1 and 2v2 with his laners.

Dragons are very easy to take in preseason and combining that with Lee's strong clear he can easily solo it when his lanes have priority(A lane having priority means that they have pressure in the lane and can respond to you faster than the enemy lane).
Early Game Back to Top
As i've stated many times throughout this guide Lee Sin has a very powerful, aggressive early game and this should be taken into account during the early game. Early game in preseason 10 is very important, dragon control will completely decide games and as Lee Sin you have the ability to very easily take dragons without the assistance of your team. This means that a gank bot not ending in a kill but forcing the enemy botlane to back can be very valuable. The main ideas to keep in mind during the early game is that if properly played you can win most duels and teamfights with your team, making use of these concepts you can easily snowball and propel your team to victory.
Mid Game Back to Top
Mid game on Lee Sin is played very similarly to early game and does not require any major changes to how you play, assuming you had a relatively decent early game and were able to either get objectives or kills you should be able to control the jungle and future objectives. The importance of dragons in the preseason cannot be overstated. The additional buffs that the dragon souls provide to you are simply game winning aside from cloud soul.
Late Game Back to Top
Late game is where the style of gameplay really does change for Lee. Unless you are incredibly far ahead in gold it will be hard to fight the same way you are able to dive in during early/mid game. The general style of late game revolves more around picking/nuking a carry with either an insec or any choice of one shot combo or playing a more support oriented peel style. Generally you will opt to try and help your carries stay alive if you aren't very fed since going for a pick when you are weak will usually not work very well.
