Champion Build Guide
Thanks!!!
As a Soraka main, I also play another fun healer, Namiii. Nami is like Soraka in many ways and if you play Nami, I also recommend Soraka. Nami as Soraka as a lot of poke potential, can heal yourself and be able to heal your allies and damage your enemies, a bouncing heal basically. With that she has a way to help your ADC cs and get more kills. Also, she has the TSUNAMI Nami!!! Yah, but if you like an aggressive healer, Nami is for you!!!
Mobility
Being able to disengage and engage very well
Can helps ur ADC CS
Can them, yourself and hurt an enemy (W ability)
Cons:
Squishy
Loses mana quickly in Early Game
SORCERY
Summon Aery: Shield Ally when u use ur W ability and also damages enemies from E and Q.Manaflow Band: Poking helps increase mana which lets you be more annoying and lets you poke more.
Transcendence: So you can get more CDR and spam Starcall and Heals.
Gathering Storm: Increase AP over the course of the game, the longer the better.
INSPIRATION
Biscuit Delivery: Mana depletes pretty quick early game so biscuits and any sort of Mana Regen. really help Raka.Magical Footwear: Saves you 900 gold for other items but comes at a cost of coming at 12 minutes and not being able to buy any other kind of boots.
Starting Items!!!
Probably the absolute best starting for Raka.
Spellthief's Edge.
2 Health Potions
First Back Lvl. 3-4
Frostfang: Building into Shard of True Ice + more AP and HP.
Faerie Charm: Mana Regen. cause Raka pokes a lot and her mana depletes pretty quickly
1 - 3 Health Potions: If case u get hit or u need to heal ur adc a lot.
Boots of Speed: A escape item and faster getting back to lane
First Back Lvl. 5-6
Frostfang: Building into Shard of True Ice + more AP and HP.
Forbidden Idol: Building into Redemption (First Item) and more Mana Regen.
Faerie Charm: Mana Regen. cause Raka pokes a lot and her mana depletes pretty quickly
1 - 3 Health Pots: If case u get hit or u need to heal ur adc a lot.
Boots of Speed: A escape item and faster getting back to lane
Amplifying Tone & Faerie Charm: Starting to build into Athene's Unholy Grail.
First Item: ATHENE'S UNHOLY GRAIL!!!
Athene's Unholy Grail: -10% cool down reduction, MR and AP boosts
Semi- Build Namiiiii!!!
Shard of True Ice: HP buff, YOUR NEW WARDING TOOL, A LOT OF AP, and HP.
Athene's Unholy Grail: -10% cool down reduction, MR and AP boosts
Forbidden Idol: Building into Redemption (First Item) and more Mana Regen.
Oracle Lens: For Spotting out wards and being able to replace the with your team's own wards.
FULL BUILD NAMIIII!!!
Shard of True Ice: HP buff, YOUR NEW WARDING TOOL, A LOT OF AP, and HP.
Athene's Unholy Grail: -10% cool down reduction, MR and AP boosts
Ardent Censer: AP time and guess what more Cooldown reduction.
Redemption: Great for fight in bot lane, Teamfights, Healing ur allies and damaging ur enemies. Also a boost in HP and -10% cool down reduction.
Flash: As a Nami you ALWAYS take FLASH. Flash is your main way of escaping, going for a cheeky kill or if you need to dodge a hook from her extreme threats
Heal: Heal is for all the Nami mains who are going the Sorcery & Inspiration Runes and will be playing less poke like. Straight Healing with the addition of Heal is a great option for Nami. It gives you and a opponent more health, and gives you increased movement speed.
Ignite: Ignite is option for all you offensive, poking and annoying Namis out there. My personal favourite Spells to take along with Flash. As Soraka with your Starcall and Equinox you are able to both Silence, Slow and later root your enemy which can lead into a kill. As a support you need all the kills you can get, but don't kill steal all the time. 1 - 3 kills is good for you, but if you get flamed for stealing all ur adc's kills, you are now the ADC, jk. But in general Ignite would probably be the best spell to take.
Exhaust: Exhaust, a less common option for me but in many high Elo games will be used over ignite and heal. Exhaust lets you slow down an enemy by 40% for 2.5 seconds which with Flash or healing your ADC to disengage will help you not to die. Also can help for engages on low health enemy which can lead into cheeky kill for you or ur ADC. For me, not my favourite option but can be useful in many situations.
Thresh
Pyke
Blitzcrank
Nautilius
These champions are the most deadly to Soraka players (w/ Maokai Support. Also its not great that Maokai is being buffed in patch 9.21) as they are able to stop your poking and contain possible engages which can lead to death for both you and your ADC.
Below are some scenarios of Bottom Lane with and without "Hook Champions.
From levels 3 - 5.9 you should have at least backed once and gotten items, including a Frostfang, Faerie Charm, 1 - 3 Health Potions and Boots of Speed. At this point you should have your bubble, you SHOULDN'T full send YET, just hit 'em with a bubble and get that champ as half or 1/3 health. But if you can get the kills with ur ADC do so.
6 and up
Now that you have your ultimate you should be able to full combo them, start with a E on ur ADC or JG to speed them up and give them more DMG or their next 3 AAs, then hit 'em with a bubble, if they get hit, hit 'em a bit and after hit 'em with your ultimate tidal wave which should secure the kill, also either 1 of the 2 people in bottom lane should have ignite which if they're a tank you should now get the kill.
For your first 2 levels you should stick pretty close to your ADC, and be able to heal and poke at champions with Nami's W ability.
From levels 3 - 5.9 you should have at least backed once and gotten items, including a Frostfang, Faerie Charm, 1 - 3 Health Potions and Boots. At this point you should have your bubble. If you get a bubble, hit your ADC up with ur E ability and hit the bubbled champion with an W and back up or else you could get hooked or get reversed in general.

Although you have this full combo you should keep being weary about their hooks, as you could get hooked or get reversed in general.
Roaming
Because Support Champions like Nami do not get as much gold compared to other roles, farming when left alone in a lane is not as helpful as could be so we have roaming
When should you roam as Nami...
• In the First 20 minutes • When your ADC is dead or has backed to grab a important item (for example: B. F. Sword) • Your ADC has a secure and/ or frozen lane • Your mid laner has asked for assistance so you can go to help them with heals and CC. • You have just gotten the Tier 1 Tower in Bot Lane. • Any time you just left the fountain • If you know where the enemy jungler is (for example: he just ganked top lane) • If mid is feeding and in need of a shutdown on the enemy mid laner • When you have a lot of vision over the enemy jungle |
How to Roam
I want to expand on when you just backed or died and are in fountain. Instead of taking the route straight down bot lane. Go through the jungle and come out of jungle into the river and near the Dragon pit. From there you have many oppourtunities.
You Can:
2. Gank Mid with Jungle help. 3. Invade the enemy jungle and... 3. 1. Help your jungle steal a buff from the enemy 3. 2. Place wards around and behind Dragon Pit 3. 3. Place deep wards in and around their jungle to gain vision on the enemy jungler 4. Assist your jungler with Scuttle or Dragon 5. Gank bot by yourself (only if the 2 enemy champions have 15% - 25 each and your ADC has more than 65& health 6. Gank bot with the help of your jungler Basically you have a lot of opportunities to play off of fountain |
