i see you make build against heavy ap. well i just won battle where were 3 dps 1 tank and 1 ap champions. ap champ wasn't making any troubles so after scepter i buyed sunfire's cape. i highly recommend it. well my point is that you should make some situational items for cases like this.

I've used this build multiple times with much success, it's kind of like playing an AP Garen.

13-1-17 as Rumble, was tanking 2 champions at once and killing them both. Without runes/full masteries. Awesome build!

As a rival guide maker, I would like to ask a few questions based on this guide. What's the benefit of sacrificing AP for tankier status? The team should have a tank, and even without a FoN and Quicksilver, Rumble fits the category of Tanky DPS Mage, and well into an offtank. I've seen a few Rumble's that end up going tankier than normal, and I must say, watching them chase an enemy from our inner mid tower to their base and only being able to do around 1/2 their hp is quite disappointing. I'm not saying that it applies here (since he only had like 200 AP), it's just that I'm not sure if 300 AP is enough to finish off an opponent before help comes, or he escapes. Also, if you get flash, Rumble would be able to escape with scrap shield, and survivability isn't too much of an issue for me when I play Rumble going straight AP. Having similar health as the Rumble from your guide and only slightly less magic resist.
-Nothing bad intended with this post, just wondering why people choose to build him other than straight AP. I did initially your build when I first started Rumble, and developed my own from yours.

This is just a great all around guide. I have never personally played Rumble, but I feel like it helped change my mindset on how to play a few other champions. Thank You!!

Rumble is just an amazing beast. Since ive mastered him, i can make 3v3 surrender almost every game. I can carry every game. I can destroy everyone every game. Theres always some pain in the *** characters, but once mastered, you will have too much fun.

As the first item, you should start with the regrowth pendant.
Its a good way to start your FoN, and it too will improve lane time (if played smart).
After that, you wanna get the regular boots, then start either on the sun fire, or continue the FoN depending if you need more MR or Armor. Rumble has incredible damage, and his abilities are great in the beginning. If you want more power, simply by the aplifying tome for the rylais, and continue on with the FoN or Sunfire. If you absolutely need no MR, you should go with both sunfire and thornmail.
Another great item is the void staff. It really can boost up the damage.
Also, the soulstealer is so OP if youre a beast rumble.
With the way the masteries are set up for this build, theyre perfect, but i recommend getting some dodge runes. It sounds weird, but OMFG. Ghost, with your W, with dodge runes = MAJOR SURVIVABILITY. And if you wanna throw FoN on top of that, YES. You will survive alot of **** you think you wouldnt. If you get a fully stacked mejais, then def go for rabadons. Youll have around 600 ap, and you wont be disappointed.
In all honesty, I never lose a 3v3 with rumble.

Nice build, i've used it a few times, but personally (im a fan of rumble) i like him with a little more defense, even when it means that i dont get like 300 ap (cause i almost never get to the rabaddons).
I do like the force nature/quicksilver/purple skull rod as magic defense, but most of the times we need to think about our physical defense too, and that's why i ALWAYS make him the sunfire (for sinergy with ur Q) or the Omens.

I liked all the rest of the build, that's why i vote u up :)

This is an awesome rumble guide. I like to start with the shield to be pushier at lvl 1 and like getting a hextech revolver right away, but follow pretty much everything else on here.

Voted up! Thanks for this!

You should add a section about Solo Top. Rumble is one of the top tier solo top champions right now, in fact, I'd argue that's the best place for him.

Aside from that, solid build. :D +1 from me.
Check out my solo top Jarvan build in return?
