Why would you place a vision ward there? why not just a sight ward? The only reason I could see you doing that is if you are NOT SURE whether or not they put a ward there. In which case it could actually be anywhere within the baron/dragon area. Placing a vision ward there is simply a waste of gold unless you get lucky.

Its not for the fact to kill the ward, its to know they can't see you doing it. If they can see you and they have players nearby they can contest you and kill you while you are doing it. If they don't know your team is there you could get a free quarter before they know that you are doing baron, maybe even half before they are all reacting. If you place the vision ward correctly you will get the ward 90% of the time(They normally put it at the entrance for most efficency).

Wrong, if you are going for dragon or baron you can place one, if you know they have no wards there then you can proceed to bait/take Dragon/Baron. That forces them to come to baron or give you a free objective, if they do come then you can make them place more wards to check if baron is up. If they place more wards then you can proceed to kill them.

"Vision wards are ONLY worth it if you have an enemy with stealth or you know for sure you are taking out a ward. Otherwise you have just wasted 50 gold (which is 2/3rds of a second sight ward)."

Mid game I don't believe you ever need 3-5 wards there. The general wards should be sufficent to inform you where the opponent is, because mid game if three people go to any tower it will drop fast, easily from 100 to 0.

Mid game two. Camping a side of the map for one single turret can be bad due to competition for farm.

Mid game Inner: You shouldn't ward their jungle unless you are on the agressing side, if you are losing it is better to place defensive wards. Also you should bring someone with you to help protect you.

Before you take the inner turrets try to make sure you have a big minion wave on the other side, it will force someone to split and push that wave out which allows you to apply heavy pressure.

That was from first read, hopefully it helps.

Good start to the guide. However, i won't upvote just yet, because it doesn't have pictures. I'd like to see some more pictures in this guide.
PM me when you've updated it :)

Hey! As promised, I'll give you some feedback on the guide ;)
  • You have a few small typos (like Introduction's 3rd paragraph, "one" instead of "on"; The Mid Game (outer turrets) section has a "this" alone for no reason?)

  • I think the coding on the guide could take a more "list" sort of structure, specially when you're basically listing advantages or disadvantages, or items. This way, you can focus on a neater bbcoding and bringing out important features, either with colors or coding some elements ( Vision Ward, sight ward) here and there;

  • On the sight vs vision ward section, you may add that, when playing solotop, getting a Vision Ward instead of a normal one might have it's advantages: if you're being owned and you know your opponent got a sight ward, it's your way of trying to clear a path for your jungler; if you're owning (specially if a gank enabled that), you're helping your opponent zone himself due to no river visibility;

  • Sometimes you recommend dropping an insane amount of wards in a single area. I get the idea, and sometimes I do it myself, but the issue with this is that those wards will all come off almost simultaneously. Give us some places you find are key points, three spots on a quarter should be more than enough;

  • As stated, the guide could REALLY use images and colors, as it is it's really hard to read;

Feel free to contact me later after reviewing some details ^^

Agreed with what ovnoglavi said. You can NOT do a warding guide without images. Also, I gave a -1, I frankly think the guide is very bad. It discusses at a superficial level, doesn't say anything new or original, and is generally not helpful at all.

This is pretty informative guide, but you need to insert pictures at least to cover the placement of wards in the situations you noted... You can play, for example, a custom game just to take pictures! And that will give your guide a substancial support, and will make it viable. This way we have to imagine everything, while the pics would briefly tell the whole story!
I'll wait for pics and then give my vote, but this guide is fair, in my own humble opinion... Best of luck with it!!!
