Sorry to say this, however, thresh has a lower aa range than ANY of the AD carries out there. This is why it is more viable to play him as a support bot lane. Also, his kit is AP based. There is no way, in a ranked game for this to work out, unless, this is bronze V, then anything can happen there.
While haters are a part of the community it's also true that they are the most active ones even in places where they can't back themselves up (just like the situation that we have here). Hence why they are called haters afterall.
And as for Trinity Force/ Iceborn Gauntlet:
I'd hate to agree with you but you are correct in your statement. The thing is though that you rather talk generally about the ADC role over focusing on Thresh as ADC himself and looking at him with these items. It's true Ezreal and Corki use them for mana starvation and sheen proc as well as a bunch of other irrelevant stats thus making themselves more hybrish-ish. The thing is though that Thresh would rarely find himself short on mana since he doesn't have any poking/spam abilities like Ezreal and Corki. While it's true a Sheen effect would be awesome for Thresh's opener and he would chop a much bigger slice of HP with his 1st smack it's also a fact that he doesn't really need the rest of the stats from neither Trinity Force nor Iceborn Gauntlet as much as he needs his attack speed boost. I also agree that there isn't any need to make Thresh more of a hybrid than he already is. Afterall it's the very fact that Thresh stacks AD that turns him into a hybrid since Q deals up to 200% of your AD as magical damage.
@Walmart Bagger
Your support is greatly appreciated mate. I gave your suggestions a good thought but I really think you would rarely find yourself in need of either Malady or Wit's End. The reason is that you consider building them after Runaan's Hurricane or in other words as your last item. And unless they really result in more damage done over Last Whisper (a thing a really have no data of) you can't place them there since the last item is in coordination with your enemy's armor/HP. And if they don't build armor or HP the most optimal choice would be a 2nd Bloodthirster (as I have described in the guide in details). So my final thoughts would be that I'd go with Wit's End instead of Runaan's Hurricane in rare cases where I suffer too much magical damage income. You are looking in the right direction there's no doubt about that and I hate to partially disagree with you but the idea is to make things as optimal as they can be right? :)
Also, throwing items like Malady and Wit's End will make the build more hybrid oriented, which is generally not what ADCs want. The closest hybrid items that ADCs build now are for those with severe mana problems - Trinity Force/ Iceborn Gauntlet for Ezreal and Corki (and then the jack-of-all stats that it offers at relatively low price), for example. Other than this, no hybrid items are ever taken and nor should they. It kind of defies the point of the ADC if he doesn't deal mostly physical damage.
And btw, those 'haters' are part of the community too. Hence, since it isn't climbing, the community doesn't think so.
Runaan's is good on him, but I would remove last whisper for Malady or Wit's end. Last whisper is ofcourse great vs armor but reducing magic damage + dealing magic damage from your Death Sentence's passive I feel does more damage than the armor pen. Atleast when using an Attack speed build.
Though, it is a nice balance of AP/AD damage.
I upvoted you.
You interviewed them all 1 by 1 or what? Because the way I see it nobody gives a **** of what you or I have to write in this comment section unless the guide gets some votes and climbs up a bit. Which it can't due to haters like you who don't try it nor think it clearly through nor provide solid facts while downvoting.
Nevertheless that doesn't mean that the community "doesn't think so" right?
Carry on.
And I don't think I'm winning or loosing anything in this discussion. Just defending myself from your unsupported or incorrect arguments. And I also don't think you're stepping back because it's a pointless discussion but rather because you really can't defend yourself since facts are facts and you would look bad denying them.
Oh and you aren't gold/plat at all. You're silver, and you're on EUNE.
Like the fact that you can consistently two shot people, right?
And wtf was that about him wasting his time? Is he the british queen or something? Or did I force him to post a reply or to downvote without kicking back and thinking about it?
And as for you. Thresh can 2shot any squishy and I'm 101% sure of that. And no I'm not playing in bronze/silver league. I play in golden/platinum. People might not be the best but at least not robots. I think I'm quite backed up on the 2shot statement too so yeah. Stop hatin. :)
And no need for him to waste his time talking to noobs. A downvote will suffice either way.
For a start:
Yeah, against bots maybe, not against any player with a brain.
Not to mention the rest of your pros and cons are questionable (yup, pretty much all of them).
