Triumphant Roar (PASSIVE)
Alistar Passive Ability
Introduction
And an anticipatory apology for the wall of text.
For the runes the main reason I chose this particular build is to boost your tank and support features.... Surprising right.
Quints:
The Quintessences are health regeneration mainly cause it's the most important part of Alistar. His ability to regenerate health is critical in the early and mid game. Late game it can be defeated due to the opposing champions full builds. Two good damager builds and your gone in 5 seconds with no support. So that regeneration is the most important thing to have for a tank/support Alistar.
Marks:
For the marks I chose Armor because that is second most important for a tank/support Alistar. More armor more survivability in ANY engagement.
Seals:
For the seals I chose Magic Resists because they are equally as important as Armor.... Go figure.
Glyphs:
For the glyphs I chose Cooldown Reduction. For a very good reason. It reduces your cooldowns. You no longer have to wait half an hour to use a simple skill. Only 15 minutes with these glyphs.

Basically you get boots and three Health Potions off the start. Then you buy a Ruby for the slight increase in health that it gives you early game. Upgrade your boots to the Boots of Mobility for increased speed, crucial for a good Alistar build. Then finish your Heart of Gold. Next you move on to the Philosopher's Stone and then on to the Shurelya's Reverie. Now this is very critical for your support role. It has an active spell that allows you to bolster another champions movement speed. Great for keeping your partner alive. Next Aegis of the Legion, also crucial for your support role. It basically increases the survivability of all friendly champions around you. Next is the Glacial Shroud. Mainly for the mana and cooldown reduction. Which is very helpful with Alistar. Then you upgrade that to the Frozen Heart, because it upgrades all of the Glacial Shrouds buffs and also grants a 20% reduced attack speed to all nearby enemy champions. Very useful for your support role. Next is the Force of Nature. It basically makes you impossible to kill with the insane health regeneration that you have, and it also increases your movement speed just that much more. Now at this point I would like to point out that I'm not a ****** and put too many Items into my build. I just couldn't figure out if there was a way to show the sale of an item in the guide. So the idea is that once you get force of nature build up enough gold for the Warmog's Armor - the cost of the sale price of the Heart of Gold. So you sell the Heart of Gold then can instantly fill that empty slot with the Warmog's Armor. You don't want to lose any of your health that it grants you. And the Heart of Gold is useless now that your build is complete. And the Warmog's Armor is VERY useful for Alistar. It massively increases health and increases your health regeneration as well.
Pros:
Holy **** amounts of survivability
Great support items and Unique Spells
Holy **** amounts of survivability
Great gank supporter
Cons:
Possibly the most boring Champion to play
Not a lot of fun just getting assists
Very difficult to play him as a support WELL
Hes a support player not a damager

So basically you get Pulverize first so you can stun for the damager your paired with. Then Triumphant Roar so you can heal your squishy damager that (hopefully) is heavily damged after getting First Blood. Then headbutt to be able to push enemy's back after you've stunned them. Then max out Triumphant Roar as fast as possible until you get to your ult. After it's maxed max Pulverize and then Headbutt. However your always going to choose your ult when it's available.
I chose Exhaust and Clarity.
Exhaust is useful for getting assists for you and kills for your teammates. IF you get someone almost dead but you already used your Pulverize and Headbutt combo pop Exhaust and boom instant kill. Also great for slowing the damager of an enemy mob trying to kill you or a teammate.
Clarity restores a lot of mana instantly to you and half of a lot of mana to nearby teammates great for giving mana to people in the middle of a fight to continue spamming for a kill or to give you mana in a pinch to use Pulverize or Headbutt.

To play Alistar WELL you need to have lots of communication with your team. Knowing when to gank, knowing when to use your Summoner Spells, knowing when to use Unique Spells, Knowing when to switch to a withdrawal or a pursuit. Keep your team talking there is no way you will do well if you use Clarity when jungling and Exhaust on a Tank on the enemy team so YOU survive. Because those mistakes are obviously made due to communication errors....
