In Noxus, any citizen may rise to power regardless of race, gender, or social standing - strength is all that matters. It was with committed faith in this ideal that Riven strove to greatness. She showed early potential as a soldier, forcing herself to master the weight of a long sword when she was barely its height. She was ruthless and efficient as a warrior, but her true strength lay in her conviction. She entered battles without any trace of doubt in her mind: no ethical pause, no fear of death. Riven became a leader amongst her peers, poster child of the Noxian spirit. So exceptional was her passion that the High Command recognized her with a black stone rune sword forged and enchanted with Noxian sorcery. The weapon was heavier than a kite shield and nearly as broad - perfectly suited to her tastes. Soon after, she was deployed to Ionia as part of the Noxian invasion.

What began as war quickly became extermination. Noxian soldiers followed the terrifying Zaunite war machines across fields of death. It wasn't the glorious combat for which Riven trained. She carried out the orders of her superiors, terminating the remnants of a beaten and fractured enemy with extreme prejudice. As the invasion continued, it became clear that the Ionian society would not be reformed, merely eliminated. During one bitter engagement, Riven's unit became surrounded by Ionian forces. They called for support as the enemy closed in around them. What they received instead was a barrage of biochemical terror launched by Singed. Riven watched as around her Ionian and Noxian alike fell victim to an unspeakably gruesome fate. She managed to escape the bombardment, though she could not erase the memory. Counted dead by Noxus, she saw an opportunity to start anew. She shattered her sword, severing ties with the past, and wandered in self-imposed exile - on a quest to seek atonement and a way to save the pure Noxian vision in which she believed.

Pros:
- Great for farming.
- Max cooldowns on lvl 16
- Hard to chase down.
- Insane AoE burst damage (in my opinion best melee AoE burst DD)
- Pretty fat

Cons:
- A little hard to get the hang of weaving technique
- Tends to get targeted
- Need good char with good CC.For example (best in my opinion) Leona
- Don't have any lifesteal items (but i didnt really see any good lifsteal on her even with fully stacked bloodthirster)

Ok. so here im gonna tell you about key features of this character.
Firstly, lets look at her Passive Runic blade.
So let's read it carefully: Riven's abilities charge her blade, causing her to do 5 / 7 / 9 / 11 / 13 / 15 (+0.5 per bonus attack damage) bonus damage on her next autoattack. Riven can store up to 3 charges, but only expends one at a time.

Did u get it right? FFS ALMOST EVERY AUTO AFTER SKILL GET'S + DAMAGE! And it stacks! This passive is you're bread and butter. Yes the passive, not skill, passive. Why? cause if you know what weaving is, u get me.
Ok, so for those of u who don't, i'll link Youtube video here, that explains the basics of it (yes i know it's from Aion, but i got hang of that technique there) Play Video Yes in LoL you'll see auto, but it will be too fast. Remember train, train, train and train. When u get a hang of it, you're not gonna believe what Riven is capable of.
Ok, next skill is Broken Wings. Well it's pretty decent.. I mean u can stack auto on it pretty good, and the end of this skill os knocback. I would give it 8 out of 10 points. BUT, for Riven this skill is GOLDEN! I mean like really, u just Q - Auto - Q - Auto - Q - Auto, and all this time your auto does some crazy damage, and at the end u knockback the ***** skyhigh, wich gives u another free auto (and yes it stacks it!). Pretty cool huh? Well, thats not all, just look at her second skill!
Ki burst
Stun... Do i need to repeat it? it's stun ffs! No really, u do have stun (although it's a micro stun, but it;s really hepful) Wondering why it has "burst" in title? Cause it's the msot damaging of your skills. that right folks, when u do it, u literally destroy opponents HP. And stun him. Thats some Badass **** bro!
Pk so here we go for her third skill. Valor. To be honest, it's the first time i see shield on a melee dps thats stacks from your ad. SICK! Really, sick. Good for initiation, or for escape, or for those moments when u runaway low, and step on one of those fcking shrooms. Just shield and u have a chance.
And for the ulty. Blade of Exile
Hm... I love it. I just don't want to scream on whole MOBA, but Jesus. When u activate it, your damage input becomes smthg unnatural. Cut through the mtfcker like a boss, and when they low (like 1/4 of hp) just hit r again and kill that *****. Often, with my build, when i go in like 3 or 4 people with full hp, and destroy they're health bars, i end em with ulty.
So, as u see, all of her skills are amazing in some way, and if you play her right, you'll learn to love each of em.

Yes we have it here too Ladies and Gentleman. I can't really say that Riven has any special seq of skills, tbh it all depends on the situation, but still, the basic is:
Blade of exile - Valor - Ki burst - Auto - Broken Wings - Auto - Broken wings - Auto - Broken Wings - Auto - Blade of exile
With this combo u should crush your opponent to nthgnes,if not, you're doing it wrong! =D

Ok, so maybe my runes are a bit strange... Heck they all way strange! Flat ad? WTF? Well, i play it like dat.. Wanna know why? Cause of sick damage early game. If you can get a good hold of game, map awarness and etc, u dont need any armor or smthg runes (it's like u know, i always get sick when i se Pantheon that takes the cup... Don't do **** and u wont need so much mana regen ffs =/)
And of course i have cd runes. Well with this babys, at lvl 17, you will have max cd red. with blue buff. Isn't that grate folks?

Pretty obvious here, all in for 21/0/9.

To summarize it, i think Riven is one of te most fun to play LoL chars, She has this, she has that, She need skill to play, and still kills.
