I didn't mean it literally. -_- To much tankiness will cause the other team to focus other than you. What is the point of 10k hp if the other team won't focus you to get out of the way? Excess tank will just let you waste items such as 3 warmog's when you could survive with 1. I mean to much tnakiness is bad for you. He is already enough tank in this build and i am simply saying that to much tank is useless.

While I am unsure about AP Amumu I saw this comment, and I just have to point this out. Tank Amumu is quite threating, he is rare, but dangerous. Your AOE ult, and Bandage toss makes you one of the greatest team fight starters in the game. Not to mention your despair can wreck Bulky DPS such as Xin Zhao, and I almost killed a Warwick as Tank Amumu solo. (Now if I didn't run out of bloodly mana!) So your incorrect in the way of saying Tank Amumu isn't a threat, while he shouldn't be focused down, he should be one to be wary of. Calling Tank amumu nonthreatening is kind like saying Kassadin isn't a threat.

Ap Amumu can be very powerful and your right the other team will start to focus you. I like to play an off-tank ap Amumu and I have found that Will of the Ancients is an amazing item on Amumu. You will be constantly using Tantrum in fights each time it is on cool-down and it's very annoying for the other team as your health keeps getting regenerated. Plus, with Will of the Ancients any other magic dealers on your team will love you and have much more reliability. I also usually go for the Sorcerer's Shoes for a similar reason, but boots are often situational and everyone has their preferences. At this point I am not going to down-vote or up-vote because I would have to try him out to see if you really have much survivability with this build. It looks like you have a good guide though.

Pure tank will not make you a threat nor will it make you any better as you can just go to the turret ant tank all of them. Obviously you have just down voted because you think AP amumu is not tanky enough. Obviously you have not read the description. OBVIOUSLY you have never have a good AP amumu build.

I wouldn't have rated this up or down, but I want to cancel out the other person's thumb down, as I often play AP Amumu, and almost always have gotten a 6.0 + Ka/Pd ratio and won the game with him. He's great whether you go AP or not. I prefer jungling with him, but this build does work.

AP mumu is horrible.. ive played AP mumu and hes too squishy
