Hello, this is my first guide on yes, as the title implies, assassin garen. My summoner name is logoshon on the na server so feel free to add me if you want. I'm a season 6 silver and probably a season 7 bronze. I like to play in groups and don't like solo queing so maybe thats why im bad ;/ without further ado, lets get the guide started

The might of DEMACIA!!!

This is an assassin garen guide. Now you may think, why? well, with the season 7 meta, (assassins) and garen's new buff, armor shred on his E, this build may dominate your enemies for the might of DEMACIAAA!!! So whats the goal of assassin garen? Well, its to make your opponents lives as miserable as possible and make them want to quit the game. Garen takes is really easy and going assassin on him just makes him do A LOT of damage while still having a good 2000 health to do stuff. Not like those ***** assassins that are squishy.

For runes i like to take armor seals because thats pretty basic. Less damage from minions and champions etc... For marks go LETHALITY because you're LETHAL and since you're an assassin you just want to negate their armor. For quints

I like to go 18/12/0 BECAUSE YOU'RE AN ASSASSIN and assassins don't need resolve! take sorcery for ability damage on your Q, E, and ult. take feast for sustain, and vampirism also for sustain. Now heres the important part. Take battering blows. But i dont care what you take cus yeah, ap garen, ok totally works. For the keystone take Warlords so you can get sustain when you're low and can help you when you're in a pinch. for the cunning tree i take Savagery to help with cs and Assassin because you're an ASSASSIN. Are you a secret stash? no i dont think so. Are you a runic affinity? no you don't have affinity with anyone because YOU'RE playing GAREN. Take greenfather's gift for jumpscare ambush stuff and ganks and thats it. (If you want to go 12/18/0 heres a quick guide) take the same stuff on ferocity, and take thunderlords or stormraiders to chase your enemies down to make them cry because they can't run away from the scary pedo yelling DEMACCIAAA! Also take precision because lethality is always better.

Notes pretty much cover everything, but for those who are lazy, or something. Cleaver for armor reduction, health and cdr, youmuus for lethality, damage and speed. Duskblade for damage. And cdr boots to top it off. The rest is just standard ad assassin stuff to go if you dont know what that is. (QSS, Edge of Night, IE, Death's dance, etc..)

So for spells i take Teleport and ghost. Teleport to make your oppenents life miserable and put constant lane pressure because thats the goal of assassin garen, or to tp across the map (occasionally) Next i take ghost, because it works well for engage when bumrushing the enemy with your Q and Youmuu's active. Other alternatives can be flash because it helps you get out of a pinch. Or ignite to secure kills. Exhuast is okay but you want to go fast instead of making the enemy slow down for you.

Pros : [*] Damage everywhere lethality and sustian is amazing
[*] Good-ish chase potential And you can go FAST
[*] Takes towers fast for some reason
[*] Really fun to play and suprisingly bursty
[*] Easy to play
[*] Easy to cs
Cons : [*] people will think you're trolling
[*] Not really good at objective taking or teamfight
[*] Hard to get back if you're behind

In lane you want to make your oppenent's will to live as small as possible. So don't be afraid to get in level 1 trades unless its a hard matchup. Bully them out of their cs and guard your minions like a dog. If they TOUCH your buddies let em know the pain. Freeze lane to deny exp and cs because they will be too scared to go near you. If you get ganked, keep going, if your jungler is willing to put up with counterganking and ganking.

Assassin garen is new meta. With the buffs he got and the assassin meta he'll dominate top lane pretty soon. And hes easy to play.
