Meaning his soldiers' basic attacks deal magic damage. w/e. Don't like him anyway.

Azir has the single lowest base AS out of all champions and his natural AS growths are lackluster at best. At level 18 Azir requires 324% extra attack speed to AS cap making his AS scaling the worst in the entire game (second worst being Annie with 308%).

Raw Azir is one of the lowest AS scaling champs, and thats exactly why you build CDR items over AS items, because the CDR AS bonus actually effects your Soldiers immediate AA. not to mention Nashor's already gives him 50% AS, which anything more would have diminishing returns. The only reason why Nashor' benefits Azir outside of its 20% CDR, and 60 AP is that the 50% AS increases his point animation which increases the soldier initiation animation on top of the 40% CDR converted. And that it gives bonus damage and AS to take down structures. Boots could be far better utilized with Magic Pen to make the AP do even more damage on your soldiers. Nashor's is really the only amount of Raw AS you need on Azir.

Rod of Ages is good on most mage champions. well.. wrong its good on some. like for example on 3v3 maps. For AP Niddalee i would build a archangels staff or whatever its called and it incresses AP based on mana then i will buy a few mana items that also build some tankyness and then some more ap but ussally ill build rod of ages right after that and my midgame Damage goes up alot!
