Introduction
He is obviously a DPS champion with a great early game but he fades away late game since he can easily be killed so quick. This build is aimed at keeping his great early game and making his late game better. For the masteries, runes, and items I made them all in a way where it would increase his damage output but also make him quite beefy so he can't be killed so quickly. the goal of this item build is so he can still deal out loads of damage but also make him tanky so his late game is as good as his early game.
For his runes I used Armor, Mag Resist, Attack Damage, and Armor Penetration. These runes are used so he can gain some defense while also having some good offense which makes his early game even better since he can either assist kills or kill them for himself. You can switch the Mag Resist runes since it wont effect him drastically but I use them so he can take damage early game against AP casters.
These are aimed to keep the balance between offense and defense so his squishiness isn't a worry and his damage output is high. I took a point in Burning Embers because you will probably use ignite to get a few kills early game and with it on cooldown your W will deal some more damage which will help for the escape.
The main items total cost will equal 13047 gold. The low tier item sequence is the one I use but it can change based on the enemy team or what you think is more effective. I found this build made Wukong's late game squishiness problem not a big deal. But with this build his damage is still high so you don't have to sacrifice offense for defense or vice versa.
The skill sequence isn't set-in-stone. This sequence is beneficial with AD carries such as Ashe and Vayne so they can get kills early game due to Wukong's Q. For his W I do not level it up as soon as possible because the amount of time stealthed stays the same and the fact it has magic damage doesn't make it a powerful offensive mechanism for this build. For his E skill I level it up so it is always 1 level under Q. If you do not have an AD champion with you in your lane, I would level this skill first and just switch the Q and E sequence around. I take Cyclone whenever I can. It can be used very effectively if the opposing team is pushing your lane with a small amount of minions where you can knock them up doing great damage while getting rid of most of the minions so they do not focus on you while you go for the kill.
I mentioned this before but I think it might need some clarity. If your laning with an AD champion Q would be my first skill to choose. You and your partners early game killing abilities will increase since the opponents armor won't be a problem. If not with and AD champion you can choose E but I usually just stick with Q. Now if you are up against two range champions I advise E so you can still do some damage without having to be right beside them to attack.
