Hey! You there! Thanks for checking out my guide! My IGN is PhantaSee and I currently play Irelia. If you're looking for someone that just is that truck of unstoppable destruction you must want to play Irelia.

Here are some things I love about Irelia:

HER PASSIVE!!!! More crowd control reduction? I'll take it. Even better when you're out numbered, more enemies the better.

Burst Damage: Her burst early on is great withDoing true damage with each hit makes her a force to be reckoned with.

IS GREAT. True damage and a passive lifesteal? Using ignite with people fighting you and having this on makes them melt quickly.

This is what makes fighting Irelia extremely difficult. Having crowd control reduction makes her very hard to catch and not one you would want to focus since all of your cc will be gone and wasted.


Free dash whenever you get the killing blow with this skill and have some of the initial mana cost refunded. This spell is great for a juke and deceiving enemy players. This spell just makes you super annoying to chase and can secure you kills quickly and without risk most of the time when you also have flash in your spell kit.


Passive life steal and active true damage helps you dish out damage by just auto attacking and plus the life steal helps your sustain in lane so much that if you don't buy wriggle's you want to max this asap.

Combined with this makes getting away from you difficult near impossible. The other effect of this makes whoever has higher health percentage than you that you target with this makes them stunned. Great for a 1v1 situation and can get people off of you when you're being chased with low health.

Makes farming a minion wave and pushing down a tower so much faster and effortless. Due to its insanely low cool down time and healing your for a percentage of damage you deal with it makes people trying to dive you confused when they're dead and you healed for almost half of your health. Her passive and this are similar. The more enemies you hit the higher the heal you get.

Still viable for Irelia even after being nerfed.

A MUST HAVE!!!!!! This makes Irelia even scarier to play against with her burst.
I normally choose flash but this is good for her also.

/Greater Quintessence of Vigor/Greater Quintessence of Strength
Not sure which one to choose? Both are great for Irelia. Think of this. Need more lane sustain? Get Vigor. Want more damage? Strength is the way to go. This is all preference and these are the main ones you would want to pick for Irelia.
Greater Mark of Strength
Best mark for Irelia in my opinion. More damage is always good for her.
Greater seal of Resilience
Good for Irelia my favorite seal of choice right now.
Greater Glyph of Shielding
You could use mr p/lvl or flat mr. I prefer mr p/lvl since it helps you out all game.

0/21/9 Is optimal for Irelia in my opinion. She can be there to take damage BUT SHE IS NOT A TANK!!!! Having extra damage armor penetration and increased damage overall is great since Irelia is there to take out squishy champions and deal massive amounts of damage to single targets.

Starting off with a point inmakes you stay in lane alot longer with passive life steal. LAST HIT LAST HIT LAST HIT!!!!!+ BUY WARDS!!!!!!!I can't stress this enough in matches. Just cause you have a kill or two doesnt mean you don't stop last hitting. You ALWAYS want more gold, it's what makes the world go round :D. Wards also keep you safe in lane when you want to push past your safe zone and when you have a ward everything is alot easier.Don't be afraid to go in for some hits on your opponent if they get too close and when you hit level two a combo of+can take a chunk of health out of a enemy faster than you think,although doing this combo leaves you vulnerable to minions and they can easily run away from you. Keep your harass up and keep farming. You should cruise right into mid game.

Having these four items make people want to run away from you when they see your damage from sheen and the slow proc from phage. At this time you should still be FARMING!!!! Be mindful of your map. Looking at your map can get you a easy kill on someone that's running away or keep you alive from enemy ganks.
