Buenos Dias¡ My name is Sugar and you might know me from my multiple Mobafire guides. Today I wanna introduce to you Galio , tanky mage with cc and lots of AP damage. I just made and update for it after some runes (Ultimate Hunter) have been added. I was playing it at the beggining of Season 8 and whole Season 7. Last season I climbed with Galio from Platinum 2 to Diamond 5 within 47 games. Hope you like it and try Galio on Summoners Rift. Enjoy! :)

Now I will show you the important runes you should play on Galio. They are most effective after many patches (especially after mage items changes).


AFTERSHOCK - Everytime you land your W, E or R on your enemy you gain bonus 70 - 120 armor and bonus magic resistance for 2.5 seconds. Also you release a shockwave that deals 10 - 120 (+ 3% of your maximum health) (+ 15% bonus AD) (+ 10% AP) magic damage to nearby enemy champions and monsters. Works perfectly with Galio.


Sudden Impact - When you hit your E or R you gain 10 Lethality and 8 Magic Penetration for the next 5 seconds. Trades against squishy champs will be very easy after you land your E. Oneshot guaranteed.

STARTING ITEMS


Doran's Ring - +15 AP, +60HP and +5 mana regen per 5 seconds. It gives you opportunity to stay longer on your lane and cs. You won't lose your mana too fast so you will be able to farm more and bonus damage + bonus HP is very important when you got provoked to early trade.

CORE ITEMS


Rod of Ages - Gives you abillity to overstay on lane and farm more and push. Enemies will have some pressure on them and will be provoked to push back the whole army of minions while you can take other objectives like Dragon, Baron or Turret on other lane.

Morellonomicon and Protobelt - Items that give you damage and HP. Very important elements for Galio. You gain abillity for succesful skirmishes, 1v1 trades and teamfights.

Galio works better when he has some tank with engage on his team. Someone like Alistar, Ornn, Malphite or Maokai and Jarvan IV. Champs that can set the enemy team in one place. Then Galio can use R and W combo which can make your every teamfight won. Remember those team comps!
