When to pick Taric.

All games obviously as nothing can hold back this fabulousness. Taric is strongest with young boys to fist, but he is generally good against AD teams though he can fend off AP with protection in the form of a single MR item. Many of his abilities including his passive and his W scale off of the amount of protection (armor) he has, so stacking armor generally works out pretty well for him. Please don't play him as a support. If you do you're a ****ing *****.

Picking.

People often thing you're trolling when you pick Taric anywhere other than support. Tell them they're ******s. Then carry the game.

Fighting.

Don't be afraid to fight. Many people underestimate the amount of damage Taric can deal, and as a result will lose 1v1s due to Taric's surprising sticking power with iceborn. You will be able to 1v1 fight most champions by late game, especially AD, so don't be afraid to fight. Having blue buff is preferable as Taric is a spammer especially in 1v1 fights, as Taric puts out a lot of sustained damage.

Team fighting.

Taric loves himself a good orgy or two. Try and hit at least someone with your ultimate in a teamfight, but don't forget that it gives yourself 70 AD and AP and your teammates 35 AD and AP. This gives your team a temporary buff that's pretty much equivalent equal to baron, so the utility is not be be neglected. In addition to this Taric also give armor based of of how much armor he has to his teammates, and shreds that of nearby enemies with W, providing more bonus utility.

Barun

Taric can solo fist baron late game (usually by 5 or 6 items). So do it.
