Introduction

Alright, this is my favorite way to play Orianna. As far as I am concerned, she is really strong mid game. Her AP ratios are not great and therefore she begins to fall off late game, unless you use this build. The number counting seems off to me for whatever reason, but the point of this build is to get roughly 300 ability power and roughly 2.0 AS. This really started out as a troll build with some friends, but I realized the potential here later on. I'll talk about the items soon enough. The point of this build is to use Orianna's passive to our advantage. With it, we should be hitting for 170-200 per auto attack every second along with a 2.4 second Q that hits for a ton of damage.

Pros / Cons

Pros
-Doesn't fall off in the late game as much as regular builds
-A lot of fun to play
-Most people won't expect this build
-Still takes advantage of Orianna's strong mid game.

Cons
- Squishy
- requires a good team for full effectiveness
- Requires smart play because you have to be closer than a normal Orianna. Too close and you will probably die.

Runes, Masteries, Summoner Spells

I really like CDR runes and Mana/lvl/5sec. This is probably the most user driven part of the build. Get whatever you want, if you feel this build lacks MR, get MR yellows. Same for armor. This is simply what I play with and how I like to do it.

I really like the utility tree for this Orianna for the extra CDR and keeping buffs for a longer period of time. I am prone to enjoying the defensive tree so I can assume that everyone likes their own style of play. This isn't the meat of the build.

Finally I know a lot of people like to take Ignite/ghost/flash/exhaust on most people. I like to be able to defend a tower or get to where I need to be if I am out of position very quickly. I always run teleport and flash. You have a built in ghost and slow, so I don't really take those myself, though you're more than welcome to. I'm not going to copy 100 other guides and tell you why the bad summoner spells are bad. Take what you want.

Skill Sequence and Farming

Q makes for easy farming the farther the game goes on. It's better, in my opinion, than getting the W up because it can be used more often, but if you prefer the MS bonus you can level W up faster than Q. Farming with Orianna is so easy it is ridiculous, and thus I won't spend time here explaining it unless I get comments that people want more information.

Items

Orianna is not really a support. She is a strong caster that falls off late game. For this build, we are going to get roughly 300 AP, then add to that Attack Speed. Orianna's passive allows for her to do roughly 100 bonus damage by simply building AP on all of her auto attacks. Attacking twice per second for 200+ damage, a nice shield, a Q with 400 damage on a 2.4 second cooldown, among other useful abilities, makes Orianna very versatile. That being said, your core build should be:

[*] Rabbadon's Deathcap
Malady
Nashor's Tooth

If you have to change boots you can, but I strongly don't recommend it. The bonus damage dealt by Orianna's passive is magic damage, and thus does more with more MR. Rushing Rabbadon's Deathcap is a must in order to really punish your opponents in the mid game. It also allows for a good amount of farming to be done. I usually get a second doran's ring if not a third, but this is personal preference. The following are things that people may get:

Madred's Bloodrazor

-This item could work very well for Orianna, but the build is already partially glass cannon as it is. We would need some more substance or we would have to substitute this for Nashor's Tooth. This build is already pretty glass cannon for my tastes.

Abyssal Scepter
-If you don't want a banshee's veil or you are working them very hard and you want to apply even more pressure, then I suggest getting this.

Zhonya's Hourglass
-Good for getting some kind of armor and more ability power. Great of adding extra survivability with its activate.

Banshee's Veil
-Always a good choice.[*] [*]

Summary

This build is a new way to play Orianna. It is very fun from my experience. It may seem like a borderline troll and it may not work in ranked play, but the game is about fun.
