Why AP?

Because its positive ********.

AD is ******** but in a negative way.

Why these masteries?

Because doesnt need any tankyness. Taking more points than 9 into Defense is pretty stupid. We still take 9 points for the great earlygame survivability it provides.

Why instead of ? Because heavily benefits from Armor penetration. Additionally, doesnt help that greatly before you get a ton of AP, which takes long for .

Why no ?

Why no Arpen quints?

Tryndamere sort-of benefits more from 15 Ability Power than from 7 Arpen. It does greatly boost his heal amount. Having some sort of AP early on is optimal because AP relies heavily on it.

Spinning Slash minions but dont use it so that the enemy champion can harass you when its down.
Use Bloodlust whenever you need a heal and you have a relatively good amount of fury.
Never Group. You can beat anyone 1v1 and your Spinning Slash is at a very low cooldown.
