I find that Hecarim is not at is full potential unless jungling. With his devastating charge and onsluaght of shadows he can throw the other team right into his causing your team to get real fed.

I get these marks and glyphs to maximize his early damage. The seals are for ganking mid against an AP champion, and the Glyphs are so you can maximize your damage with devastsiting charge because it deals damage based on the distance traveled.

I get these masteries to keep up sustain and deal tons of damage.

I get smite to clear out camps quicker and i get flash because Hecarim's devastating charge already acts as a ghost(however ghost is a viable option).

Start at Wolves and get a pull at blue(remembering to smite the golem). head over to the wraiths and clear them out. next take down golems. at this point you should be level 3 so turn on devestating charge and attack the lizard elder right as it is about to end. if you ever can remember to counter-jungle, it will often give the upper hand if an oppposing jungler can't get the red or blue buff because you took it. when you reach level 9 or so get one player from bot and take out dragon smiting for the last hit so you get the etra gold and experience.

When ever farming as Hecarim remember to always have the rampage cooldown reduction at full stacks allowing you to quicly take out waves of enemies. when you get low on health you can use your spirit of dread to heal yourself for a little bit of health.

Hecarim is very good at escaping especially with the movement speed quintessences and the boots of swiftness. if he uses devastating charge while being chased there are very few champions that can chase him and kill him
