Champion Build Guide
Introduction
Hi everyone, I'm AiWuZhan, a LoL coach and player. I'm not the best by far but I believe my experience makes up for that. Keep on reading if you want to find out how to exact justice on all your enemies! Also this is my first guide and any tips and tricks would be much appreciated! | (• ◡•)| (❍ᴥ❍ʋ)
Pros / Cons
Pros:
1. Very strong early game with a lot of kill potential at level 6
2. Has high base health and W means that he can build offensive items and still be tanky
3. Useful even when behind, just jump on the villain and execute them for a lot of shut down gold
4. Almost immune to CC if you can time Ws right and if you take Unflinching or Legend: Tenacity
5. Has such a variety of rune paths
6. Often very underestimated and thought of a "brain dead" champion, so the enemy is more likely to take bad trades
Cons:
1. Easily kited due to low movement speed and low mobility
2. Villain is often the most fed opponent so trying to go for them is often a terrible idea
3. Simple playstyle, is predictable
4. Falls off in higher elos as players know their stuff

Runes
Grasp of the Undying is excellent because of how often you can proc it. Your Q counts as an auto attack so when your Grasp is prepared your next Q on the champion will deal massive damage, heal you and increases your max health permanently. There are other alternatives for key stones, but this one is the most useful because it allows you to build offensively and still be tanky, which is the whole point of Garen. Being a bruiser he has the capacity to burst champions down while also being to duel and tank a lot of damage. Bone plating negates some damage from poke and short trades in lane. Second wind is fine for champions who can poke you, such as: Pantheon, Cho Gath, Urgot, Illaoi, Teemo and Quinn but for champions who don't have poke, consider taking Conditioning if you think you won't need the extra healing in lane.
