Ladies and gentlemen, I introduce to you... DPS Soraka! I know it sounds like a terrible idea, but give it a try in a custom or Co-op vs. AI game! This guide is strictly for having a fun game. It is not strategic, nor very practical. However, with heals and constant mana restore, why not play DPS? You can heal yourself, your team, replenish your mana, AND obliterate the enemy! I personally love playing as DPS soraka. I recommend her to casual players looking for fun. I used to play often as DPS Soraka, and then I was discouraged by many players. Remember: There is a possibility of doing a good job in a real game. Feel free to play against friends or even complete strangers. This is truly my personal favorite way to play this character. Again, fun, but not very practical.

I believe my item picks are quite practical for a DPS character. At 1.55 Attack Speed and 200+ attack damage at level 18, Soraka has quite some potential (not to metion being able to heal herself). As Soraka can silence with her infuse, don't be afraid to silence that Ezreal and DPS the **** out of him! Be sure not to play to agressively. This can result in death very quickly.

These runes give Soraka armor penetration and health per level. At 18, you'll have 2018 health! That's quite a bit for your new DPS carry, I'd say. This gives you a bit of survivability against that damned Warwick over there. The 30 armor penetration is also quite a bonus. Breaking through your targets armor for even more damage could be very useful.

I chose Ghost and Ignite. Other options are Teleport, Flash, and Clarity. I chose Ghost so you can chase down an enemy (or maybe just get the hell out of somewhere?). This comes in handy. However, Flash may be better if you plan to be escaping fights most of the game. Ignite is also a strategic pick. See that LeBlanc with 50 health? Light 'er up! Poof! Another kill and some more gold for you! Teleport is an optional choice if you plan to be constantly buying items. Otherwise, you can just heal and restore mana on your own! Clarity is also an okay choice. If you plan on using Starcall and heal often, your infuse may not be enough to keep your mana sustained.
