Introduction

This is my first build on MOBAfire and I hope to make it as useful as possible. First I would like to point out that I do not like playing Nocturne as a jungler. He can easily lane and still have great ganking capabilities as well as supportive capabilities for whoever you choose to lane with. Second, though this build may appear "nooby", it works for me. I tried to base it around AS/AD and Life Steal. Focusing on his skills isn't really what I was looking for. I'll get into that later though. Anyway, look through it, try it out, if it worked for you let me know! Also let me know if you have any suggestions or improvements you think would benefit this build.

Play Style

Like I said I play Nocturne as a laner, not a jungler. I try to lane with a tank if you can, the CC from tanks and sometimes healing from support tanks can help you pick up early game kills. If you are comfortable with your laning partner grab a Vamp Scepter first and head for bush control. If you are stuck with some random person that doesn't speak English, I would advise maybe grabbing a Dorans Shield. The first skill you should be getting is Unspeakable Horror. This will do damage and fear the target after a short duration if you are trying to pick up first blood, rather than just getting Duskbringer and having your target simply run off. I try to play somewhat aggressive with Nocturne, keeping lane control and picking up kills and ganks when you can is important. However, if you are once again stuck with randoms, play passive until you have a feel for what the enemy lane is capable of to make your moves.

Mid Game
Once your team has wrecked a couple towers and is starting to form mid for a push you have two options: 1. Form up with the team and push or 2. Wait for a team fight to initiate and ult in on the carry or whoever your team chooses to key. This is my preferred option, it gives you the element of surprise on them and might scare the team off so you can push the tower.

Late Game
If things are looking up you should be approaching your Bloodthirster. Also, I will mention the order in which you get the items isn't of any importance, as long as you get Wriggles first for the AD/Armor/Life Steal and free wards and boots (Although, after that I usually pick up Banshee's after boots for more survivability.) But once you get up to that 36% Life Steal mark you will begin to give people nightmares (Ha, punny).
