Kassadin's abilities level quite nicely such that even with level 1 boots, catalyst, and tear (all of which I get first), you will hurt a lot. If you're worried about ganks you're talking early/mid game and probably not getting a tear. Well, what can you get for the cost of a tear? A blasting wand; that'll add about 100 damage to your full combo. That's not a deal breaker, really. Also I've experimented with 21/9/0 and I don't like it as much. When it comes to runes and masteries they're nothing compared to the boosts you get off of items, so I pick based on what'll help me most early game (flat armour, flat health boosts, etc) or what I won't buy much of (e.g. magic pen.).

Most people will look at this build and react like Doblue, but you have to keep in mind I'm not going hell for leather to get items like Banshee's Veil or Frozen heart. Here's a little bit of the logic behind how the item choices flow:

- My mana pool sucks, address that first (catalyst, tear; this isn't that expensive!)
- I want to hurt more now (wand, rod)
- How's my game going? Am I taking too much damage before I can cleanse & rift out? (glacial shroud - cdr and armour. Note I rarely upgrade this to frozen heart; it's good on its own. I only do that if I'm rich) Am I kicking butt? (straight for Rabadon's)
- By now you've got an idea what the end game's going to look like; is magic resist a problem? (Start building for an abyssal or void instead of lich bane) Can you get away without building Banshee's? (Turn the catalyst into RoA)

It's all flexible, but this build is generally what I aim for every game with the intent to deviate after I've got my catalyst, boots, and tear. Those are the only absolute constants that I don't feel I can perform without.

Interesting way to go with Kassadin most builds i've looked at go the Offense/Utility route. I may try this out to see how it fares. My main concern is that you won't be putting out enough damage for you gank effectively. Would you be tanky enough if you put just 9 into Defense and 21 into Offense? just a thought.

You could add more chapter on like situational items for Kassadin and explain why you picked the runes and masteries that you picked. Explain situations on when to use your ultimate. Those types of things. Once you add those you can continuely update it and youll have a very decent guide possibly a top 5(:

This is a very forgiving build; not everyone does well on pure offense, and not every game goes well for the people who do. I very rarely do very badly even on poor games using this, but really if you want to know why, just try it.

Okay, so your cheat sheet looks decent but your build could use a lot of work. You don't seem to know a whole lot about coding in general so I recommend you go here, to learn all about basic coding. You have okay information in this guide but it could use a lot more. Optional items,runes,masteries,etc are some of the things you can do to make it longer and with more information.
