Introduction
For runes ive literally done like a million different setups but the overall pages i came up with were
Reds - Destruction: Is bascically perfect for Elise because both your spiderlings and self benefit from ar pen and mag pen
Yellow - Vitality: More health goes well with surviving early game and snowballing in the right direction
Blues - Warding: Since normally you should be solo(mid preferably, but top can have ap also) it comes in handy against strong ap types
Quints - Swiftness: Are great on Elise since also your spiders benefit from your movement speed changes...faster you are the faster your spiders are

As with the runes ive also tested out many different branches in the mastery trees. Normally i like to go 21/9/0 as an assassin type character you want to be able to do the most amount of damage and finish your enemy off quickly
Also 9/21/0 is also worth a mention to as going down defense tree gives you alot of good thins like more movement speed, cdr, 10% disables durations

I always start doran ring. I start doran ring because it gives you everything you need to survive mid, health,ap, and mana regen.
I get boots next and then rush a catalyst. I dont start boots because as soon as lvl 2 comes around you gain so much mobility from your E that dodging skill shots, ect wont be that difficult.
I finsih boots and normally always get sorc shoes unless i need tenacity and get merc treads
Its about time to finish building your Rod of Ages. Alot of people have there own opinions on using RoA but ive found that its actually perfect on Elise as it syncs well with the health from your masteries and runes and will solve your mana problem, doesnt hurt that upon leveling catalyst activates healing you for a certain amount.
From this point on i go situational in my builds but i finish my build with a Rylais Zhonyas and Deathcap and Guardian Angel to finish
