Introduction
This guide is for the character Elise she can be played in a vary of ways and this is one way you can play her in the mid lane. I would love it if you gave feedback so i could develop the build if need.

There is only one problem with this build and that is that it will take a long time to get the money for the build but in early game it is easy to get the kills and farm because of your damage output that you have. You can then build up so you can help the team and you are able to push mid lane far back quiet fast.
You need to play aggressive early game and then play more safe later in, you just need to push them back using Volatile Spidering this will cause the enemy to be pushed back to there tower.
When going in for the kill open up with your q in human form and there stun using cocoon, then change in to spider form and then q for the final blow only do this is you are sure you will get the kill.

In the mid game you need to be giving ganks to your team in a lane that needs it but do the entry in spider form using rappel to make sure you get in there fast to help your team. Make sure you switch to human form to use cocoon to make sure your team picks up the kill and they do not escape.
In the late game wait for your team to before entering a team fight but you can still take on a few hits but not that many. If you take out the tank you can kill him very fast because of your ability power and then get your team to push back or you can get some towers or baron. If they have a lot of magic resit then you can still do some damage from your magic penetration and your basic attacks also do a lot of damage in spider and human form.
The reason for each item:
Sorcerer's Shoes: To get you the magic penetration early game and the movement speed increase.
Rylai's Crystal Scepter: To get you early ability power and the survivability because of the health.
Athene's Unholy Grail: To get bonus ability power and to get the magic resit ( most mid champs are ap) and the cooldown reduction.
Sunfire Cape: To gain armour and the health. The bonus of the item is the passive it has dealing 20 magic damage to nearby enemies.
Abyssal Scepter: To get the Ability power and the magic resit and the bonus of this item is the passive taken down nearby enemies magic resit by 20 giving you a easy way to deal damage fast.
Rabadon's Deathcap: To get the final ability power to really do so real damage to the enemy team.

There are up's and down's to every champion, including Elise.
Pros:
+ She has high burst damage if used correctly
+ She can easily jump to her enemies
+ Her spider form abilities do not cost any mana
+ Fun champion
Cons:
- Takes some time to get used to
- Very vulnerable when her abilities are on cooldown
- Her late game is much better than her early game
- You need to have a good start to dominate late game
Pros:

+ Fun champion

LANE
Flash
Elise is a champion who does not have a dash, jump or anyway of escaping apart from here rappel but it takes and enemy to go to so I think it is a good idea to have flash just in case so you can easily get away.
Ignite
Elise does not have any type of poison or venom so it is a good idea so you can get the kill if they are low health and are running away from you.
JUNGLE
Flash
Easy way to get to the enemy's in the jungle and is a good way to escape
Smite
Is a good way to get early buffs, steals and a good way to get through your jungle path fast and not taking much damage.
SUPPORT
Exhaust
Elise does have a stun but this is a good way to prevent them getting away or a good way to slow the enemy is your stun is not ready to use, and it is a good way to close the gap between you and the enermy.
Heal
Elise does not have any instant heal but does have a slow heal from hitting the target but that can be a bit risky and she does not have any type of healing a friend so it is good to r the second chance of living.
Flash
Elise is a champion who does not have a dash, jump or anyway of escaping apart from here rappel but it takes and enemy to go to so I think it is a good idea to have flash just in case so you can easily get away.
Ignite
Elise does not have any type of poison or venom so it is a good idea so you can get the kill if they are low health and are running away from you.

The runes used in the build can give t=you an easy time in early game, this will give you a higher advantage late game.
The Mark: In the marks go for magic penetration giving you, easy damage to players who buy magic resit.
The Seals: In the seals go for armour so you can stay in lane giving you the early game advantage.
The Glyphs: In the glyphs you have an early game bonus in your ability power, this works very well with the magic penetration at the start of the game.

The masteries used (21-9-0) will give you the bonus ability power and early game health so you can stay in lane doing as much as possible to the towers and the enemy champions. The masteries will do some damage early game and late because you have the advantage of in lane on the enemy player.
If you are trying to get money or just minion kills the best way to get farm I have found that if you jump using your e in spider form and then use your w after switching to human form. This should get you the max amount of farm early game and late game this also works with you in the jungle in getting buffs and the creeps. In early game try and last hit using you q in human form or use your w if there is a group of minions. In human form you should be able to use human form to gain farm even if you are low health or the enemy is fed but just be careful.
If you are jungling and you go in for a gank on one of the lanes or there is a team fight then you should jump in the fight using your rappel to get close from behind and then switch to your human form to use your cocoon to stun and then if you team focus that player then you should pick up the kill and then push the enemy back to the tower or to the base. If i am jungling you should take your cocoon and rappel first so you can give and easy gank and your w should help you in jungle in spider form.
In team fights it is a good idea for you not to be focused but get someone on your team who is playing tank and if you don't have any tanks it would be a good idea for you to tank it. If you are out number then it is a good idea to get them to chase you for your team to run and then use your rappel on a minion in the jungle.
