Evelynn [Hybrid Build]
I've noticed that a lot of people play Evelynn as a strictly ability power stealth mage. Now, there's nothing terribly wrong with this because it can be done with some kind of effectiveness. However, Evelynn is about as good as a busted condom once shes spent her Ravage ability, and is almost always useless in team fights.
This guide will help you learn how to play Evelynn as a successful hybrid class by entwining attack power, attack damage, attack speed, and ability power.
The most important thing about Evelynn is to understand WHO YOU CAN, AND CANNOT KILL.
-Be aware of wards. They're cheap, and can get you killed.
-Be aware of when champions purchase Oracles. They can see you when your stealth, and see items placed around the map, such as wards.
-Be aware of the builds that are on the enemy team. This directly ties to knowing who you can and cannot kill. Avoid enemy champions wearing Thornmail, and those who have high magic resist/armor. Also be aware if an enemy champion has Banshees veil. Your opening attack, Ravage, will be completely void.
-Be aware that Evelynn is melee, therefore, you must be more cautious about minion farming. This mostly applies for when you first start the game. You will be focused by the enemy team any time you are seen - Unless they're ******ed.
-Be aware that Hate Spike drains Evelynn's mana quickly if you get too excited and spam it like crazy. I avoid using Hate Spike endlessly unless I'm killing a champion or trying to push a lane quickly. Using it on regular minions is a give or take situation. I prefer to be ready in case an opportunity arises.
-Don't use Ravage on minions, unless they are super minions.
-Be aware that Evelynn's ultimate refreshes when an enemy champion is killed. It also restores health upon a kill or assist, all while giving you attack speed and movement speed.
-When going for a turret, Evelynn's ultimate is good to use if you're the only one trying to push it. Although, keep a close eye on the map. If any are missing in action, make a judgement call and finish the turret, or quickly stealth out and get the turret later.
-For summoner spells, I prefer flash and ignite. Flash to catch up or assist in fleeing, and ignite if they got too far away and have a smidgeon of health. Teleport is also ideal, for mobility purposes.
