Introduction

This is just a small description of an Annie that I've played as a few times. Still getting all the kinks out and would prefer some outside input :)

This isn't meant to be an "OMG SO PRO!" guide/build but I'm just curious if anyone else has had the same idea as I, and would like to theorize about this champion :P

Runes

Basic setup here. Magic Pen marks/quints for a little more..."oomph"...since we're not going to be maximizing AP here. Should help early game in either assisting in kills or getting a killing blow or two. Armor/Magic Resist for Seals/Glyphs to help buffer the overall purpose of this entire guide xD

Masteries

It may seem like a dumb idea, but I like to stray from the typical "NUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUKE" standpoint every now and again ;) Her masteries are meant to assist in mitigating damage, increasing survivability, and all in all, making her less...squishy.

Items

You may wonder what kind of nonsensical item build I have. I'm not necessarily trying to "tank" per se on an AP caster. Annie tends to receive a LOT of attention from just about every enemy team in the game, so my purpose here is to allow her to take a few more hits and maybe throw out some more stuns in hopes that your team is coordinated well enough to kill them while they're trying to focus you down.

The actual parts that the main items consist of, can be bought at any time to fit the game you're in. For example, if you keep getting nuked hard by AD champions, getting Glacial Shroud earlier could assist in more durability early-mid game and deter enemy champs from tower diving OR give a false sense of a "certain kill" if and when they do decide to tower dive.

Glacial Shroud (or Frozen Heart, whichever you have) can be substituted for a Thornmail if you would rather do MORE damage to attacking champions. Thornmail would work quite well in conjunction with Annie's Molten Shield, but I prefer Frozen Heart in the long run due to the reduction in AS, the 20% CD reduction AND the nice amount of mana it gives.

I grabbed Force of Nature because it gives very nice Magic Resist, good health regen (which i know usually means nothing in fights but it does assist in damage mitigation, however small the health regen may be :P ). If you would prefer Abyssal Scepter for the more damaging option while still keeping a good amount of Magic Resist, have at it. I also enjoy the extra 8% movement speed received from Force of Nature.

In short, build defensively against who you need to mitigate :)

Summoner Spells

Flash is a must on Annie imo. She has no escape abilities other than a stun every 5 spell casts, and even then, if the enemies aren't clustered, there's no guarantee of escape. Flash will help :)

I prefer to use Ignite on this type of Annie build.

Ghost is never a bad idea on pretty much any character.

Teleport, Fortify...Pretty much, the summoner spells are what the SUMMONER wants them to be. You choose, have fun :)

...just please don't pick rally...

Style of Play

I LOVE getting assists. Love it. Idk why, but it's just really fun to me that way. So this style of play is built around assisting. Two things encouraged this guide: Annie's passive and Annie's Molten Shield. If you like to solo as Annie, this might not necessarily be the recommended build/guide for you.

Okay. So I love Tibbers. I want to see him used more. That's the reasoning behind the Frozen Heart and the Ionian Boots of Lucidity. 38% CD reduction after being fully built is pretty nice to me :) Not quiiiiite capped, but it'll do. The whole point of this build is to pretend to be more of a threat than you really are. The CD reduction helps in casting spells faster since your damage output won't be as bursty. Also helps cast Annie's #1 spell in almost all team fights.

Keeping Molten Shield up during team fights is going to be a necessity also. It's a major point of damage mitigation (and damage....do'er?) and one of the inspiring factors to this build.

Building this way will allow you to stay in team fights longer, regardless of whether or not they're attacking you. You WILL still throw out some decent damage depending on who you're attacking, but your main purpose will be to stun.

BTW, don't panic if they nuke Tibbers down... They're basically allowing your teammates and you to beat on them that little bit longer :)

Summary

This is my first guide so don't hurt me too hard on the comments xD If I forgot anything, I'll edit this as I remember or change it the more I use this build.

Comments! Hate it? Love it? Want me to never make another build? I won't know unless you tell me! :)

======BTW=======
I know it looks like a wall of text and isn't as "pretty" as the other guides, but I just don't really have the time to make it purdy right now :P I apologize!
