Can you use this guide as a mid/support? I feel like it has both capabilities. Im new to LOL and have spam Morgana and Brand has some similar play style but no shielding ability for a partner. When I stack with my buddy he has good survivability for an ADC player. I do worry that I will fall behind too much to impact team fights when I am giving all last hits to ADC.

Brand is definitely a viable support.
I wouldn't use the same items that I listed if you are going the supp pathway.
Consider starting off with Eye of Watchers then Sorc's Shoes or Boots of Lucidity, Rylai's and Redemption.
Then you can finish off with Liandry's and/or Abyssal Mask (if there is other AP on your allies) or other supp items.
I will update for support builds, eventually...

Awesome Yeah I appreciate it. I feel like there is so many ways to play a support and early game if I buy AP items in first 10 min I can harass enough and do enough damage for my ADC to collect kill or opponent has to B then it's worth the risk to balance health/AP in mid-game instead of immediately. Let me know what you think. it has been working mostly but I am new and playing low MMR

its quite interesting. However, the effect of overgrowth rune is very negligible at late game(So far Ive felt and tried this). You can also go for triumph and coup de grace. Very effective in teamfights since Brand specializes mostly in teamfights.

I do agree Overgrowth is not a huge boost.
On the other hand though, it is a % health boost so higher the max health, higher the scaling.
In this build Brand gets RoA, Rylai's, and Liandry's, which give him quite an amount of health.
Hence the health boost from Overgrowth isn't too bad.
It also synergizes with Front of Line since the healing scales off of your max health.
I like this good team player good guy Brand.

I can see Triumph and Coup de Grace being viable. I will give them a shot situationally.
I'm also wondering if Cheap Shot and Ravenous Hunter could work.
