Fizz is a very mobile champion, he doesn't take much to play but is pretty hard to master.
My build involves a great deal of damage and enough health to allow u to go 1v1 vs pretty much anyone. To be honest its kinda hard to lose as fizz unless the obvious reasons like your team feeds or a couple of afks. I play fizz mid and like to gank every time my opponent mid goes teleports back, this is how I get very fed and carry ftw! P.S if you have good enough timing as you get when playing fizz for a while, playful/trickster can dodge death pretty often. e.g karthus ults, singed grabs and anything that involves either a skill shot of something that takes time to hit you.

Fizz has a lot of catch up ability, His playful/ Trickster or the Urchin Strike, even if your a fast champ like Singed or Miss Fortune, its not easy to escape Fizz. For the best game you need a lot of kills right? for the beginning 2-5 kills will have to be probably "steals" but if your team complains say " Do you want to win or not? I just need some feed then ill get a penta kill." When a team fight comes you look at aiming your Chum the waters at their carry or squishy support. It will do severe damage and will give you the edge in the fight.

Remember to get carry, and get fed nicely :)

in order to counter fizz you have to be a champ that deals consistent damage other than burst damage so most magis will almost guaranteed lose to fizz as their damage comes mainly from abilities. Champs that are AD carries like caitlyn or miss fortune and vayne have a better time against him in team fights however, 1v1 they will still lose heavily because they are squishy.

I've played fizz and i find that kassadin seems to do pretty well against him if they play defensive and dont waste their ulti, otherwise its like most other champs, A FREE KILL :)

The new champion volibear seems to be able to counter fizz pretty well as hedoes consistent damage and is pretty tankie if played right.

To be honest if the other team have a good fizz, im sorry to say your screwed :(
