So, I just want to show you how to play the "Unkillable" garen. The strategy is simple: build resits and health. I think, that garen doesn't need ad or penetration at all, he does damage anyway, he scales better then the ad one too.

You will be farming top all day and (hopefuly) killing your lane opponent, and push (your q is great for split pushing). That way you'll scale like jax.

I don't have much to tell you about the runes, I myself use only the standard AD/AP runepages. So do what you want.

The meaning of these is to be a bit more tanky and be able to escape (10% plus boots = 45% slow resistance, sorry Nasus).

This build, as you can see, is to make you unkillable, the distortion boots can be replaced with homeguards, but I prefer distortion.

You might think: "But I can't carry with this", well, partially you are right, you can't be the one who's killing 'em all, but your role is to eliminate the enemy carry while your team focuses the tank (I hope not). Just q,w,e and ult, and they're a goner.

Did I mention, that with the full build you regen 68 hp per second?
