Introduction
These are the main things this guide will turn your Garen into:
- Carry
- Ganker
- Support
Marks
This is the only mark rune we will be using:

This rune increases attack speed, and since we will have 9 of them, this will give us a head start of an attack speed increase of 15.3%.
Glyphs
We use two different types of glyphs:

Also increases attack speed. Since we use only 8 of them, we only get a 13.6% attack speed increase.

This increases attack damage. Attack speed doesn't help if you're not going to increase some damage.
Seals
We use 3 different types of seals:

Another attack speed booster. We have 5 of these, which give us a total of a 3.8% attack speed increase.

This seal gives us 0.43 attack damage. We have 3 of these which give us a head start of 1.29 extra attack damage.

We only use this type of rune once, since we're relying on speed, we should get a little bit of a dodge chance. This seal gives us a chance of 0.75%.
Quintessence
There are two types of quintessences we use in this build:

Again, another attack speed boost for the start of the match. Gives a boost of 3.4% and since we have 5 of these runes, we get an extra 17% attack speed boost.

This is the only type of movement rune we will be using. It increases movement speed, pretty obvious why. We have four of these which give us a total movement boost of 6%. You do the maths.
In conclusion of runes, if you combine all the attack speed totals, we get a total attack speed increase, at the beginning of the match, of 49.7%. This is a great advantage at the start of the match, especially since Garen is already strong.
