Putting Garen as a tanky dps is one of the main builds of Garen but mainly people still build him straight ad to show that you don't need that much hp on Garen to kill your enemies. My build is for people who want to jump in and kill at least 3 and maybe even escape with flash. A few friends of mine have seen my Garen in-game and have told me to post this build on mobafire but i just never really wanted to show my build till now. In a ranked game this build may not help with getting a positive score but will mostly get you a neutral or positive score. A few people have tried this build and their feedback was ok when it came to late game. The early game is quite useful when it comes to using your Q then W to get close and if your Q hits them then it should do quite a bit of damage. Flash is probably one of the main spells that are used in league of legends from the fact of a quick escape over a wall. I use exhaust or ignite depending on the spells my team has or if one of them may be a better choice. Exhaust will help slow them down not only for yourself but for allies that need to catch up since you have a boost from your Q and W. Ignite will kill them if they are escaping with low hp but may suck in late game.

I max Q first from the fact of the movement speed, damage output and the most useful thing of all, the silence. Garen may seem useless against mages when in fact he is one of the most useful with the damage is Q does and the silence. I find the E is only useful when it is used late game to jump into opponent DPS and completely cancel their damage but still kill them fast. His ult is upgraded in the usual spots at lvl 6,11 and 16 which is normal of course. This skill sequence is mainly used for the early output and late sustain not to mention the op chasing wit Q and W.
