Hey Drakkiron, I'd like to ask you how you feel about getting Youmuu's as your first or second item. Ever since the new season started, I've seen most Wukong's rush it. I understand the flat stats it gives are great on Wu, but I feel like there are better options, especially in games where you're not the primary engage tool.
Personally I've had success rushing Tiamat (or Jaurim's if it's a tougher lane i.e. Renek, Panth, etc.) Then either building Cleaver or finishing Titanic, going into cleaver, respectively. I feel like even though you lose a good chunk of lane bullying pressure, you gain much stronger mid game team fight capability, as well as becoming a decent tank (considering we're in a high damage, squishy jungle meta).
Would you care to give me any outlook on this and maybe explain something I'm forgetting/ignoring? Thanks in advance!

I almost always rush tiamat in to youmuus because ghostblade is an item that gives more attack damage than cleaver base, an active movement speed buff, cooldown reduction, and a good amount of armor pen. Black cleaver is strong, but you're not going to see much of a difference during laning. In laning, you're a 1v1er until you decide to roam. Which, ghostblade helps way more during ganks being able to outrun your opponent. Titanic hydra doesn't relate too much to this build, since this build is a full ad assassin one, but would possibly fit better under the tankier build. In the tankier build, it's usually that your team has no tanks but you still want to do damage, so going cleaver in to titanic isn't bad for that build.
But, as a first item for an assassin, black cleaver isn't a huge damage boost. It's noticeable as well. This is strictly my opinion, but i believe youmuus and cleaver are both super core items on wu right now.

Hey Drakkiron! Fellow Wukong player and guide creater (I'm that kid below you, NOT JEALOUS AT ALL XD). But I have a question, I was reading your items section and I saw you had Trinity Force as a option. I read your reasoning behind it and I wonder, instead of getting Trinity Force why not get another AD item to make your Q, E, and R do more damage because the INSANE AD ratios our lovely champion has. For ex: Maw of Malmortius, and/or one of the new armor pen things that replaced last whisper. I don't want new Wukong players to think Trinity Force is a better option then any other AD item.

Great guide! It is very organized and has a lot of visuals.

Completely understandable, the AD Ratios on Wukong are insane. I will put trinity force lower on the priority list because i certainly dont think it's a great item on him, and the only reason i would consider it would be because of the extra damage Q could provide because of sheen.
But yeah, I'm gonna lower that down. Thanks for your input!

Is it good wukong in mid lane in this season 6? Is it competitive like other strong champs of mid lane?

If i'll play him in mid lane, i must go off-tank? Tnx

Wukong is a hard counter to assassins because of his decoy, which are now getting really popular. You can build full damage when you go mid lane and it is a good pick, I'd say mid tier if not, higher. He gets shut down by wards easily, so roaming could be hard, but if you can manage to pull it off and take ignite, then it may even be better than top lane.

Thank you Drakk for this awesome guide. I recently had an urge to pick up the Yung Spingod himself and saw this guide and I knew it was my destiny to play him. Just played a few games with him and I can tell you already he's definitely going to be one of my favorite champions for a while.

P.S I went with the hipster move and got Volcanic instead of Jade Dragon, please forgive me.

Hmm, I don't agree with some of your choices. It's better to get cooldown boots for more spam of your abilites. It's also better to max Q first and not E.
Don't really see the point of maxing the E first in laning phase when it's AoE and Q gives you more dmg 1vs1.
