Champion Build Guide

First things first! Hey everyone! Before I start I would like to say that: You do not need to adopt this guide as an absolute truth. It’s a guide to change your way of thinking inside the game. It’s a guide to change your way to look what happens in the game. Is a beginners guide, but anyone can take advantage of it. The following guide is about the method I used to climb from Silver IV to Platinum V in just 3 months of playing, and playing 2 to 3 games in a day. And… some people think mobafire is a site for newbies and similar people. Well, it can be true if we compare with the mentality of the challenger players, but… most of the players who make this type of comment are in silver or gold and have a lot of things to learn. This guide (just like the others) can help you get out of the rank you are and reach new heights, but this will not depend on the rank of the player who made the guide. It will depend on your ability to adapt to new situations and absorb knowledge that people are willing to offer. Be nice and keep your mind open. “Humble in victory, elegant in defeat” |
THE GUIDE

Main Role This is where our story begins. By the way, do you know what a main role is? (the guide was first made in Portuguese, so it was necessary to translate "main role", but it is quite obvious… just to read the name right? hehe)Are you unsure about which route you want to play? Play at least 20 normal games on each route with the champions you like best and have fun playing. Don’t pick a route for being more “carry” or even because you've been better at it lately. That's no good. League of Legends is a game, so this is also about fun, okay? ![]() Champion Pool Now that you've figured out what your main role is, it's time to talk about your champion pool. So you're the type that watches championships, see Faker playing with 8 different champions in 8 matches and wants to be the same? It would be great, but unless you want to act in the competitive landscape there is no need for that. 90% of the players in high elo play with a maximum of 3 champions. And your champion pool goal will be exactly like that! 3 champions for the role you have chosen.
❖ ❖ ❖
The story remains the same as the main role. It is not worth picking champions because they are in META or because they are broken. You are going to choose a champ you like and have fun, okay? (I was playing with Leona and Gnar in Season 4 and I flew from Silver IV to Platinum V in 3 months, but that applied to me! I had fun with these champions, so you have to figure out which ones you like.) The more matches you have with a champion, more comfortable you will feel with him. Over time, you acquire certain absurd notions of All-Win (like that absurd Riven that must have appeared on some ranked of you, giving you All-Win without fear of dying and kill you in conceivable ways).
❖ ❖ ❖
If you have chosen champions that you do not know very well, take it easy in the beginning. Play over 20 normal games with them to pick up the ritm and figure out how they work. That's where you'll find out if you want to spend an entire season (or even the rest of your LoL story) playing with them. After that, just go ranked games and carry them all with your newest rank rusher. ![]() Training Now that you already have your champs and your main role, you only have one thing to do: TRAIN A LOT! (yes, in ranked matches) At this point it does not matter if you are climbing up or falling (seriously, it is difficult to accept at the beginning especially if you are falling, but do not get discouraged yet), what will matter is that you are EVOLVING in the best of ways. "Otomai, but I cannot lose several times with a champion and keep playing with him! This is persisting in error ". If there is one thing wrong in League of Legends this thing is definitely not spamming your favorite champion. On the contrary, this is the best technique that exists to be a good player!
❖ ❖ ❖
The great reality is that if you cannot accept this thought, you will be limited to the rank you are currently in. You may even be on platinum playing with several champions, but do not think it goes that far. The same goes for bronze and other ranks. Watch your replays. Criticize where you have made a mistake and try to improve your successes even more. Feeding hard/was camped? See what your opponents did to overlap so much. Copy them. MAKE ANALYSIS OF THE MATCH. Ask yourself whether your performance in that match made sense, whether your decisions were worth it. Compare your decisions to those of the enemy, question whether your roamings were worth it. Over time you will be so accustomed to analyzing in replays that you will have the ability to analyze the matches in real time. This is another very strong point that separates the mass of bad players from the mass of good players. ![]() |

Last things last I find it interesting that the MobaFire community is moving, and I feel that I can be proud to be part of it someday. I've always been a guy who was delighted to help people and loves to write, so this was the perfect opportunity to put everything together at once. I am Otomai and I hope you have enjoyed the DEFINITIVE GUIDE TO HOW TO BE A GOOD PLAYER. FAQ About my rank: In 2014 I was able to get Platinum V and stopped playing because I felt like an "appeal". I could only win by playing from Leona and Gnar. When I got other champions I felt at a much lower level than other players, and it was not a lie. My mechanics with other champions were horrible, so I decided to improve my champion pool by playing several normal games. I dropped 1 division by inactivity and finished 2014 in Gold 1. In 2015 fall gold 4 after MD10. I went up to Gold 2, I stayed in MD3 for Gold 1 and ... my internet started to die slowly. I falled an entire division by dodge from the queue when the internet crashed. I drove another one or two divisions on account of oscillation in the middle of the matches. I was stubborn, I wanted to keep playing and I just went deeper. I finished in Gold 5 and during the pre-season I played 1 full day in a miracle when the internet was good and I got back to Gold 4 (yeah, the brazilian internet is pretty poor).
❖ ❖ ❖
About my roles and champions: The fact that I was not able to play for a whole season made my champion pool grow absurdly. With this I also learned to play very well on most routes (with the exception of ADC, I seriously can not play this). My favorite champions are: Quinn, Lee Sin, Vi, Blitzcrank, Kindred’s... My best roles (in the sequence of better performance) are: TOP, SUP, JG and MID (I do not even consider ADC).

About this blog: It's the first one I write for the MobaFire, I'm not very used to this format, but I hope it was nice. ![]()
