The Story of Gangplank

Gangplank was born the son of the dread pirate captain Vincent the Shadow - one of the most wealthy and feared pirates in all of Blue Flame Island. One might think this would have spoiled the boy with a cushioned life of privilege, but the truth is quite the opposite. Growing up in the city of Bilgewater isn't easy; pirates are not known for their compassion, and that most certainly extends to their families. Vincent wanted his son to grow up tough and strong, so he was extremely hard on the young Gangplank. Even as a child, Gangplank was as mean as a snake and is said to have slept with his eyes open. As he grew, the young man rapidly became the most ruthless and feared pirate in all of Bilgewater, and his daddy was never more proud than on the day of his son's eighteenth birthday - when Gangplank stabbed his old man in the back and claimed the famed pirate ship, the Dead Pool, for his own.

The continent of Valoran, however, is a dangerous place for pirates; Gangplank could read the writing on the wall. The den of pirates known as Bilgewater would soon be pulled down by the undertow of Valoranian politics and the Institute of War. It was time for Bilgewater to have their own champion to represent them in the League of Legends, and who better than the fiercest pirate of them all? It is said that Gangplank has enough power and favor to claim the title of the Pirate King back home, but that he is simply biding his time and building his reputation as a champion before he returns to a life of piracy.

Play gangplank as a jungler or SOLOTOP he is one of the best solo top in the game dominating almost everyone! If played well he will just carry the came throughout from early game to late game he will be just OP so please try my build before judging it thanks^^ (this is my first guide so . OH AND BTW STILL MORE UPDATES TO COME ON THIS BUILD THX <3

Passive: This is a really nice passive doing damage + slow: Gangplank's basic attacks apply a poison debuff for 3 seconds that can stack up to 3 times. Each stack deals (3 + [1 x level]) magic damage per second and slows the target by 7%.



Q: Great range + damage: Gankplank shoots an enemy with his pistol, dealing physical damage. Gangplank gains extra gold if Parrrley deals a killing blow. This ability can critically strike and applies on-hit effects, including his passive.



W: A good way to heal or cleanse: Gangplank consumes a large quantity of citrus fruit which removes all crowd control effects on him and heals him.



E: A buf of speed and attack speed that can help all your team: (Passive): Gangplank's attack damage and movement speed are permanently increased. (Active): Gangplank fires into the air, disabling his passive boost but inspiring himself to gain additional attack damage and movement speed, with nearby allied champions receiving half that amount, for 7 seconds.



R: A good slow and damage ulti that got all the map as range: Gangplank signals his ship to fire upon target area for 7 seconds. Each cannonball deals magic damage to all enemies hit. Enemies caught in the area of this ability are slowed by 25% for 1.25 seconds, with the duration refreshing if one stays in the area.



skills in some words : balanced all usefull and just easy to work with.

I chose these runes because they will give gp damage output WITHOUT critting , He will still crit enough so dont worry , i take the magic resist for more durability against ap top laners and the armor pen to go through their armor with your parrrley. Further that hitpoint quintessence might save you from a posion or ignite , its usefull overall!

I take the standard masteries but then all focused on crit chance and damage since you dont have crit runes you could use these ^^ , also i take regular ad masteries for the third three.

Im playing offtank gp because he will have MASSIVE damage output and ALOT of durabilty using his remove scurvy for anti cc and the warmogs for HP and AD and crit!
I only take phantom and bt lategame beceasue you wont need them early/mid game his AS is not needed due to his durability and the lifesteal is also unneeded due to his remove scurvy.

Pretty standard. I prefer maxing my remove scurvy over raise morale because scurvy will just keep you in lane forever and help you escape ganks more easily , in my opinion the raise morale its just usefull for chasing or 1v1ing

I prefer take flash and exhaust on gangplank because his flash is a escape method and his exhaust will help him chase ALOT you wont need ignite because of his passive you can replace exhaust with ignite or teleport and flash with ghost , Its just how you play.

Gangplank is a VERY easy champion to farm with due to his gorg soaked blade , so if you miss your last hit on the minion 8/10 times your passive will just finish the minion for you ... so gp is like FARMING FOR DUMMY'S 101 , HEUHUEHEUEHEUEHEUE GP NUMERO QAUDRO (yes 4 cuz other champions are better)
