Laning phase

During laning phase,make use of your alpha strike to poke and harass enemy champion through using you Q on nearby minion.Save up your double strike and poke enemy champion.The damage from ur alpha strike and double strike deal a ton of damage.The mana you gain from your doran ring give you great sustain and force enemy to return back to base first.Make use of this to continue farming till you hit 6.After getting berserker grieve,2 doran ring.Get a wriggle lantern to continue your domination and also ward top.

mid game phase

DO NOT.I REPEAT.DO NOT ENTER A TEAMFIGHT FIRST.Let the enemy burn all their cc and you can easily get a penta.Up till now,Every top yi game i play,i will always get a quadra or penta in every game.However,i would prefer not to participate in teamfight but rather continue split pushing to victory.

Things not to do

Do not force a fight with the enemy at top.Make use of your alpha and double strike to poke him down low enough for you to dive.Never ever choose master yi when enemy have teemo or jax.

why play master yi top

I have tried playing master yi in rank and is amaze by how well it can do.The most common way to win with master yi is to split push while a teamfight is happening.Without the enemy knowing,you already reached the nexus and end the game.
