Hextech Affinity (PASSIVE)
Heimerdinger Passive Ability
Introduction
Heimerdinger is obviously not a champion you would expect to see entering the jungle. He does however prove to be a very fast and convenient one, with a very reliable ganking potential. Reaching a certain level, you can easily clear the wraith and wolf camps, by simply placing one single turret, and tossing one concussion grenade; the turret will do all the work from that point.
Pro's;
-
Jungles extremely fast.
No cloth armor and/or potions needed.
Outrageous damage output early game.
Easy to secure kills while ganking by placing turrets in bushes.
Con's;
-
Squishy.
No high mobility.
Bad turret placement results in no damage output.
Runes;
For runes, you focus on mere damage;
As his abilities are very "mana-costly", the mana-regen/level seals are the best option there.
Masteries;
For masteries you also go "all offense".
With a 21/0/9 tree, you take every magic damage point available, taking mana regen and neutral buff duration in utility, along with improved flash.

Magic penetration.

Heimerdinger is capable of jungling without cloth armor and 5 pots; you can simply take doran's ring. From there on take cage's lucky pick for income, and boots for mobility.
Zhonya's hourglass is the key item for this build; when recieving a lot of damage, and triggering your ultimate, you get 2 seconds of free massive damage.
After that, you go for more utility; Rod of Ages for hp and mana; Rylai's for hp and the passive slow and finally Abyssal Scepter. For massive damage late game, you end with with a Deathcap. Boots of Swiftness is probably the best choice concerning boots; as you are not very mobile without them.

Your main damage comes from your turrets, so you max those first. You need to get the chance to place two as soon as possible. After doing so, your secondary damage source is the Rockets. Your E is primarily a CC spell, to stun and blind your foes. Your ultimate levels up at level 6, 11 and 16; ofcourse.
