Hey! Just registered on Mobafire just to comment here. As a main support, I've always had problem with that one single lane called jungle. Not that I didn't know what to do there, but I was somewhat doing it wrong.

So, one day, I played Zac on ARAM and thought "wow this guy is freaking funny I wanna play him". And I got there, in your guide. And since then, besides support, I'm always playing jungle as Zac! Like, it's now my 2nd main lane! :D
Thank you so much for putting me into these woods. I'm no more afraid of going into the jungle alone.

So, just some thing I do differently:
1. I max his jump first to make it easy to gank/chase specially in early game. What do you think about it?
2. I don't like building Randuim's on him very oftem, as in teamfights I ult and enemies just get out of the active range! x(
3. Would you consider putting Dead Man's Plate on this guide? I've built some in almost every game playing Zac and it sure is a very nice item.

Keep in mind that I mainly play Zac in jungle.

Your item order is a bit off. Warmog's Armor and Randuin's Omen are better early game choices due teams tend to be AD heavy/mixed. Spirit Visage is only better earlier when you're facing AP heavy teams.

Masteries are quite weird. You skip Block + Unyielding and 2 points in Legendary Guardian (which is by far the best mastery in defense tree.)

Your ability as Zac costs 4% of your CURRENT HP, and each blob restore 4% of your TOTAL HP.

So you'll always heal more than the cost (unless you're full HP)

Hey, sorry my reply isn't very pretty. I was just wondering if Cell Division heals more health than you lose, I got a little confused when you said to "stay back and hit minions." Great guide tho!

Hi, it just caught my attention that you have listed Mercury's treads as boots you should consider taking under jungle Zac, but you already have the Tenacity passive from the Juggernaut enchantment on the Trailblazer. Just a little heads up ^^

Oops, missed a few things while updating the items. Fixed now, thx for the hint.

Hi! I just wanted to say, that there are still players, who play with Zac. Like me. :) I play since the release of Jinx, and ranked during this summer (well, I played a few ranked earlier, but didn't force it until I felt I have a good selection of champions for all positions). Zac was one of the champs, I liked during a free week, and bought later, when he was on sale (I don't play that much, so getting 6300 IP for a champ takes me nearly a month, and I got bored with that). I was like, it's a funny champion, but he is mainly a jungler, and I'm bad at that. And guess what happened? When the team needed a tanky jungler, I picked him, used everything I learned from your guide, and it went pretty well. Since then when I go jungle, I pick him, because he is fun to play, lots of CC, and I can tell my friend AGAIN "So, which champ is good, but can't kill? Not Zac, that's for sure! Look at my stats!". And looking at my stats on lolking and lolskill, he seems to be the best champ I have on ranked. And so, I decided to main him even on top, if it's possible.
I think the general tanky jungler buff, and his updated W a few patches earlier helped him a lot. I like jumping in with E, W, slow them with Q, ult, and spam W on the enemy, while I pick up blobs, to heal and lower the CD on W.
And about why he isn't played that much: One of my friends is maining jungler, the tanky ones, and even when he was thinking to buy a new non-assassin jungler, he discarded Zac early, because he doesn't like him. Maybe it's his skills? His simple design? (Come on, he is a big, green jellyfish) Lack of burst? (Or the illusion of that) His previous nerfs, which suggests he became unplayable? I don't know. Still, maybe it's just me, the new guy, who thinks differently, and finds him good.

I have some experience on playing Zac in top, and i don't really think that ignite is really necessary. I mean, as Zac is, you will prefer always TP above Ignite, since if in a situation ignite would mean kill, you can always jump with your E and get it (except, obviously in some cases) and I think Zac has a decent early damage through his skill set (And not always the enemy expects you to have that burst damage, specially when you reach level 6) That said, it's maybe because of the way i play him, I tend to harras the enemy a lot with my Q/W and, most of the times, I get him below half HP which means a really potentiall kill incoming. TP helps you to get into teamfights quickly and you always have your E to surprise the enemy, making the teamfight pretty favourable for your team (since, i think we all agree, Zac is a beast on teamfights). It's also a help on getting back to lane when you face a pretty difficult enemy.
That's all i had to say, i hope i made clear my reasons and nice guide =D

Thank you very much for the feedback. Yes, Teleport is indeed a viable summoner spell for Zac, just as it is for any toplaner. However, as Zac you don't really need it for one reason: Zac is lousy at splitpushing, and if you aren't splitpushing, you will usually be with your team once mid-lategame comes around. That being said, Teleport finds its best use only for early-midgame fights in the bottom jungle area, which basically means dragon fights.

If you have a premade team and manage to coordinate those fights so you get a dragon and two or three kills out of them, then Teleport is worth picking. However, when it comes to soloqueue, things like these usually don't happen, and since you aren't splitpushing, you rarely get a really good use out of it. You can use it to gank botlane, but you lose a lot of lane presence if you are absent from lane for just these 90 seconds, which will likely put you behind in lane and prevent you from roaming around in midgame.

Ignite however will give you huge kill potential in lane, even against tough champs like Shyvana or Renekton, helping you snowball into a much stronger midgame and also increasing your threat in teamfights, especially if you can ignite the ADC.
