Hello i am a Platinum Vlad player you will probably want to listen more to some of the higher elo Vlads i would recommend Elite500 but anyway this will be a Guide on how to lane and how to play Mid and Late game on Vladimir.

In the laning phase you will want to get the wave close to your turret so you can farm safely to do that you should keep the caster minions alive and tank them right outside of turret range once you get that you will be able to safely last hit the minions remember you scale the with gold the most and it's your most reliable income you are weak early but can trade especially if you are playing one of the easier match ups you want to use your Empowered Q on your enemy if possible. If you need to heal up you can use the chickens or wolves from your jungle since you heal the full amount from them unlike the minions. You don't want to get out of lane unless you won't lose farm and it's worth for you. Why? Because you are playing a very selfish champion. REMEMBER MINIONS ARE YOUR MAIN SOURCE OF INCOME YOU AREN'T A KILLER EARLY GAME YOU GET YOUR GOLD FROM MINIONS AND IF POSSIBLE YOU CAN KILL YOUR OPPONENT BUT THAT WILL HAPPEN IF THEY MAKE A MISTAKE NOT BECAUSE IT WAS SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN. You of course want to ward a lot so you don't get into a bad situation you do have your W to pool a cc or damage and escape but you should be able to escape from ganks without using it if possible. If your lane opponent roams you HAVE TO SPAM PING your botlane or else they won't listen and end up dying BUT IF THEY DO DIE DO NOT FLAME THEM IT'S NOT THE END OF THE GAME AND YOU WILL STILL SCALE REMEMBER DO NOT FF ON VLAD

You survived laning phase? Great now we can get to the mid game you will be scaled up a bit at this point and will probably get to go sidelane if your botlane didn't hard lose their lane this is good because you will get farm and most champions can't contest you so they will probably need more people to stop you. You will want to get into fights and try to get a huge ult on a lot of enemies so you can start killing enemies and feeding yourself this part of the game is very important and you have to play it right so you can become a raidboss in the late game from them. But remember farming is your greatest income source. If you can consitently win teamfights for your team then you are already doing really good just remember to not die especially that you will be playing mejai's and there is a chance you will have a shutdown on yourself which you don't want to give.

Congrats you have gotten to late game you are now a Raid Boss that can't be stopped and you one shot all the squishies you will probably win if you don't mess up and your team doesn't hard throw most games end in midgame not late so you won't get here that often. DO NOT GO INTO AUTOPILOT this is very important since if you lose focus you can find yourself in a very bad spot you have to really think about what you are doing on this champion and make the correct decisions or else you might just lose the game for your team as you are the teams main damage source.

Boots are very important on vlad due to to his lack of mobility so this is a guide on boots

Sorcerer's seem to be the best boots on vlad right now both on midlane and botlane because they give you a big damage buff and work really well with stormsurge which is the main item you build on vlad currently they give 12 flat magic pen on T2 and on T3 they give 20 flat magic pen and 8% magic pen combine that with the 15 magic pen from stormsurge and you start dealing true damage to enemies early game.

CDR shoes are really good on vlad because they not only let you cast your abilities more often but also give you summoner spell haste which let's you cast your summoners more often this is good because vlad is very reliant on summoner spells and you are basically useless without them this is also why you have to be careful with your summoner spells and not use them if you don't need to. This works well with the rocketbelt build because rocketbelt also gives you CDR so that makes you able to cast your Q very often and gives you more survivability. You can also pair these boots with the stormsurge build if you need the ability haste.

You only build these boots on midlane because of the T3 upgrade having a great passive giving you more damage while over 50% health but more healing while under 50% health this allows you to get survivability while having more damage early i still think you should decide between Sorcs and CDR shoes instead of buying these though. They work well with both builds and are pretty flexible.

Swift boots are really good when the enemies have a lot of slows if you are midlane they aren't even worth for the movespeed because you get the same movespeed from the T3 CDR shoes and you don't really need the normal version of these boots when the enemies don't have a lot of slows because you get enough movespeed from the stormsurge build combined with stormraider's surge. They will work with any build.

Vlad might not have a lot of combos but you should probably still know how to execute them

Combo 1

this combo is for the early game it's really simple:
AA -> Q -> AA
it's good for poking your enemies early and you can add E after the second AA for more damage.

Combo 2

this combo is also really simple and utilizes the animation cancel that vlad has:
AA -> Q -> W
this is because after using Q you can cancel it's animation by using W you can use it to quickly poke your enemy that is under turret or to Q to deal damage to your enemy right before his ability reaches you that you will dodge with your W

Combo 3

this is the main vlad combo that you will do in a lot of situations:
start channeling E -> flash -> R -> release E -> Empowered Q
this combo will effectively one shot any squishy if you have enough damage if you need to dodge damage after it use W.

Combo 4

i don't know if you can really call this a combo but it's very important to do this on vlad:
start channeling E -> W -> release E
this is important because it allows you to go into the middle of a fight without taking damage while dealing a bunch of damage to all enemies around you it can also be used to deal damage to champions that try to jump on you.
