To be honest I won 5 games in a row with AP Rengar top lane in ranked matches. Not downvoting but some advice would be reconsider the abyssal scepter. I run it even if the team has no ap because it lowers the magic resist for your burst. I usually rush rabadonns after and is gg. Ap nuke assassin is very fun, I played ap rengar in TT earlier and it was funny they said they never saw it coming. If you start with boots and pots even if you have ap from runes masteries it is funny watching them build armor as you burst them apart. I also recommend getting E first instead of the burst. You are not going to get a kill 1v1 as ap rengar at the start because u need the 5 ferocity first. Getting the slow is a great last hit, harrass that can get you up to 4 bars just in time for lvl 2, then jump on them with a nice suprise : P Then they go back and get ninja tabi so silly.

I'd recommend a zhonyas, so you have a little more of a grace period between between W cooldowns so you can double cast W, then QE, zhonyas+ulti and then get back in the fight with ANOTHER double W.

Thats 4x W, for 1020+3.2AP AoE damage + Q's and E's, dfg and lich bane.
