Chapter 1
- Building
Alistar as hybrid makes sense, because
Pulverize and
Headbutt fully scale with
AP. This allows you to be tanky and take damage, while also dealing heavy damage. By going pure AP you loose too much of your ability to tank turrets, and by going full tank you are reduced to a meat shield.
- Alistar is EXTREMELY slow. You need boots and HP pots for early survival.
- The game will not last longer than
Rylai's Crystal Scepter
Boots of Swiftness are important because of their synergy with headbutt]. If you're facing heavy CC, you can go for [[Mercury's Treads instead. Please don't buy
Mobility Boots, they are garbage.
- 9
Greater Seal of Scaling Mana Regeneration is too many for Alistar. 4 or 5 is enough. The regeneration will keep you alive mid-late game, and let you stay in the field after team fights. This is especially important because of Colossal Strength. If you ace the opposing team, you want to be able to push a tower or two while they're dead. By they time they re-spawn you will have nearly full health and mana, and be ready for another team fight.
- Greater Quint of Potency is better than Greater Quint of Force, because Force doesn't equal potency until level 11. You will need that extra AP early game, and the Glyphs and items provide enough mid to late game AP
