I used to play Trinity Force on Irelia a lot - I agree it's a good way to keep her damage high, especially with the Sheen proc. However, I like playing aggressive tanks (I play Leona somewhat similarly to how I play Irelia) solo top; so Triforce's components didn't quite give me what I wanted out of her. Really depends on playstyle - just like any guide.

Thanks for the comment!

i suppose its better for 5v5 plays :) since you can coordinate with everyone.

i have to say i dont really support the tank irelia build, because it kinda ruins her potential, though i suppose its not horrible. trinity irelia is so much better, iv also never ever seen an irelia build infinity edge, i have a 5.8 kda in my irelia ranked games, and i rarely do poorly with trinity wits end randuins, most often the games end before i can build all 3 of those

edit: i also use 9-21-0 masteries instead of 21-9-0

Good guide and explanation, but I really depend on Equilibrium Strike more than Blade surge. Other than that +1

I rely on Bladesurge mostly because of farming and early harass - I want my opponents OFF the creeps, as often as possible. However, Equilibrium Strike does to a lot more damage on it's base, so I agree that more "stop 'em dead" playstyles work better with that as a focus.

And what about building FRATMOGS? (Frozen Mallet, Warmog's and Atma's Impaler)

FrAtMogs is a great combo on Irelia - in some situations. It's also very expensive without quick components - unless you count Phage. I may add it later on, but I almost never use it myself; Infinity Edge is better for damage, and I go for crush rather than chase.

Thanks for the vote!

Pretty detailed guide. I +1 it because it looks very informative.

I haven't read it, but it looks pretty good as far as I'm concerned.

You should put alternatives for your runes.

Thanks for the vote! Runes always get me - I prefer to use the same rune/mastery setup most games, because unless you're playing draft, you don't know what you'll have to counter. However, I'm going to be adding 2 more variants this weekend based on my tank rune and mastery pages - so stay tuned, it's happening!

Thanks again!
