Hello, welcome to my build. If your here on this page then your probably trying to find a suitable build for Irelia. This is the build that I use, it isn't the best but played right, there's just no stopping her. I won't go super great into details, only just gonna point out the fundamentals.

Unique Skills


Ionian Fervor - Each nearby enemy champion (to a maximum of three) reduces the effectiveness of Crowd Control on Irelia.

1 Champion: 10%
2 Champions: 25%
3 Champions: 40%

This skill description pretty much tells it all. Basically makes you God of getting out of tight pinches related to CC. Be aware, this skill doesn't active against stealth champions.

Bladesurge - (Active): Irelia dashes forward to strike her target, dealing physical damage.
If it kills the target, Bladesurge's cooldown refreshes and refunds 35 Mana.

Cost: 70 Mana
Range: 650
Cooldown: 14/12/10/8/6 seconds
Physical Damage: 20/50/80/110/140 (+1 per Attack Damage)

This is maybe your number one skill for this build, other builds not so much. I max this skill 2nd, only because early game I want that stun/slow that you get from E. Doesn't mean this skill is useless early game, it's biggest usefulness is for farming creeps. Use this to last hit creeps. Also, this skill allows you to cover great distance using enemy creeps. Great chasing skill, stacks with the passive from your W and stacks with its active for bonus true dmg.

Hiten Style - (Passive): Physical attacks restore health.
(Active): Irelia's physical attacks deal additional true damage for 6 seconds.

Cost: 40 Mana
Cooldown: 15 sec
Heal: 10/14/18/22/26
True Damage: 15/30/45/60/75

I love this skill, it's not really useful early game. It has its benefits of allowing you to heal for every hit you do, stacks with your Q. Without Attack speed, this spell won't help you very much other than the life steal you gain. Slightly more useful late game.

Equilibrium Strike - (Active): Irelia pierces her target, dealing magic damage and slowing the target by 60% for few seconds.
If the target has a higher health % than Irelia, she stuns the target for the duration instead.

Cooldown: 9 sec
Range: 425
Cost: 50/55/60/65/70 Mana
Magic Damage: 80/135/190/245/300 (+1 per Ability Power)
Duration: 1/1.25/1.5/1.75/2 seconds

This is a wonderful skill, and also can be a huge game changer. Can be used to stop people in there tracks if their running away from you or to stun them to get away from them. Nice little short ranged nuke, early and mid.

Transcendent Blades - (Active): Irelia summons 4 spirit blades which she can fling to deal physical damage to enemies they pass through, and she heals for 20% of that damage vs champions and 10% vs minions.

Cost: 100 Mana
Cooldown: 60/50/40 seconds
Magic Damage: 85/135/185 (+0.5 per ability power AND +0.6 per bonus attack damage)

Ultimate. This is a wonderful skill, not how it used to be but still useful for taking down full waves of creeps and healing nearly to full off of them. Helps you chase down those running targets, that are a little bit out of your range but in range for ultimate. Can be used to help burst down an opponent 1v1, you can still deal auto attacks to them while using ultimate or use it while your fleeing hitting minions or other champions to heal a bit.

Seals I choose health because I think she needs that little boost early game, but if you feel confident in yourself, you can do with Clarity runes(Mana Regen) or Dodge runes.
Gylphs She needs early, mid, late magic resist imo...

All these runes are based on personal preference.. You can fill in runes however you like.

Offense, gives me a bit more of that armpen, very nice early game.

The items at the top of the page is how I build her, there are some times where you need other items, it will happen. The Shyrelya's Reverie, Atmas Impaler can both be sacrifice for other items that you may need. I would still take the Philosophers stone early game just for that gold bonus and health regen, but can be later sold.

Tips/Tricks - Borrowed


From the time you get Trinity Force done you will be able to farm extremely fast and efficiently.
Simply do a melee hit -> Bladesurge, melee hit Bladesurge and so on.
This melee and skill combo will take most creeps instantly. Abuse it to farm farm farm, you are there to carry the team so you need gear.
Before getting TF (but with Sheen) you should be able to do the same but with Hiten Style active.

Early game tower stun EZ kill.
If you are low on HP and your opponents are greedy, don't forget about your Equilibrium Strike. If you stay calm at tower you are able to take down most opponents with use of your own tower.
When you feel enemy champion will tower dive you for a "easy kill" surprise him with
-> into stun under your tower. And there you go. You just got yourself a greedy champion kill.
This also works when you have your ultimate already, at the moment he starts to tower dive clear the enemy creep wave by using Transcendent Blades. 1stly you will get a lot of HP back due to the 20%(10%) damage dealt heal and 2dly there will be no creeps to take tower shots for the enemy. Than again do a surge-stun combo to get an easy kill.

Transcendent Blades has many other use options. Don't hesitate to use it as a simple heal to stay longer on your lane and farm creeps. Just get a whole minion wave in a single ulti. The CD is so low that it will be back again when you need it.

Did i mention Transcendent Blades is totally not affected by your movement?
Well... What does it mean?
You can constantly move while shooting blades. This is a great and imho OP way of using the ulti...
1. ATTACK! - You can dps a champion while spamming R! It will not break your swing timer, it will just add a great chunk of damage!
2. CHASE! - You can chase your opponent and still dps him even when not in melee range without the need of stopping even for 0.00001s to "cast" a blade!
3. FLEE! - You are low on HP and you are running, you see a great bunch of enemies chasing you with huge caster minion wave! well Make use of that :)
Firstly you have to click quite far away on your fleeing direction, than position your mouse cursor at your back and do the magic... Use your Transcendent Blades and spam R while your champion is moving forward you are shooting "healing blades" from your own ***.
This can even make a situation from being a prey to being the hunter.
