Introduction

THIS GUIDE IS CURRENTLY NOT YET DONE, I HAVE TO WRITE SOME TABLES AND PITCH THE DESIGN.
KEEP IN MIND CHANGES WILL BE MADE.

So, for the poeple who actually read this all.. This is my first guide on a underrated champion; Jarvan.
I've been playing Jarvan for a while now and I tend to release my tactics to you guys ^^ since it works out quite good.
You see, jarvan is a tanky melee fighter and I don't know why people don't like the champ.
He is in one word, AWESOME.

Besides, you guys have to know my English isn't the best so don't go play the grammar hero here =[

Another note is: I made this guide based on my own playstyle, which is playing an agressive top lane while farming, but not trying to push it. ~what a playstyle.

Good luck with reading! if youn guys have any questions type them below, I'll try to answer them as soon as possible.

Runes

This is based on my favors,

Marks: 6x Greater Mark of Desolation + 3x Greater Mark of Strength

Seals: 9x Greater Seal of Resilience

Glyphs: 9x Greater Glyph of Warding

Quintessences: Greater Quintessence of Strength

Marks: Why only 6 marks of desolation?
Simple, It's because it's enough for jarvan early game. Another reason is to have the 3 marks of strength too. With these + the ones of the quintessence you will get +10 ad early game flat. This will help ALOT. (if you don't agree use all 9 of them)

Seals: Why armor?
Well obviously solo top champions are ad bruisers most of the time. If you play ranked or draft mode normal games, and you know you play against a top caster you can let them away, but you will have to get another rune page for that, same goes for the glyphs.

Glyphs: Why Magic Resistance
Again, Sometimes top champions deal alot of magic damage, then this is good for early sustain.
and again if you know ur opponent on top is an ad bruiser or atleast deals attack damage you can leave them behind and use other runes of your choice. easy as that.

Quintessences: Why Flat AD??????
Well this is my personal favor, and it seems to work quite well.
If you are more of an defensive player this won't help you alot. If so I can suggest you flat health or something else defensive.
But if you're an agressive player at top lane I can highly suggest you to use this.
You will just out harass the most people with ur q+basic attack combo.

If you don't really agree with these decisions I made feel free to change something or suggest me in comments.

Masteries

So as a solo top player it goes on sustain. the one that will live the longest wins it most of the times.

Since I play Jarvan as an AD bruiser he will need the sustain because none of his abilities (except his weak shield) gives him some good sustain. That's why I choose the 21 points in the masteries for health regen, health per level etc.
It will just give more sustain..

That's just the short and easy explanation of the masteries I choose. Feel free to ask and complain about it xD

Items

The first thing I heard from my friends and other people was:
Y U BUY 3 DORANS BLADES U CRAZYY??

I'll explain.
Since last patch the lifesteal got nerfed except the lifesteal on dorans blade. also it will help for early game sustain since you will get more health and more lifesteal.
It will also give some health (extra sustain) so why not? It's okay to leave them behind, if you don't like it, or just buy 1 or 2. But for me it worked very good so far.

If you want to you can also just ignore the 3 dorans blades and buy an instant phage (or in some cases hexdrinker when you face a heave magic damage dealer).

Boots
For boots it's quite simple, I mostly buy boots against my lane, EXCEPT if they have a junlger with too much cc etc (like Alistar). In that case I will always buy merc threads since it will be the only item that gives us tenacity (reducing the effect of all cc)
If they dont have a heavy cc jungler and the opponent is a ad bruiser who doesnt have too much cc I will buy Ninja Tabi. yes ninja tabi. It gives us 10% reduced damage from non-turret basic attacks.
This will mean the opponent doesnt deal 100 damage each basic attack but 90 instead + ur armor will block something too.
This is in almost all cases a good choice.

Obviously try avoiding the "Ionian Boots of Lucidity" and the "Sorceres Shoes" snce Jarvan doesn't need the cdr and the magic pen obviously. Also I wouldn't reccomend the 'Berserker Greaves" since jarvan will have enough attack speed from his "E" skill and once bought the wits end it's high enough.

The Frozen Mallet
Why?
Why not?
Gives us a 40% slow for 2.5 seconds on base attacks. It gives you health + some attack damage.
You can ofcourse think that trinity force is better and I will encourage to try that too. I tried it too, but I seem to like the frozen mallet more because it gives more health so your Atma's Impaler will give you more bonus attack damage. If you don't agree with this Frozen Mallet thing in your inventory just buy a trinity force, it's a good alternative but more expensive and it will take more time to finish your AWESOME BUILD!

Last Whisperer
In almost every game people will buy Armor against you or against your ad carry, but it results in you doing less damage to them. Last whisperer is a great item to get in that situation. It gives enough armor pen to do damage again, + some more damage. Speaks for itself.

Guardians Angel
This is something I recently tried out, and resulted in a legit godmode (:
Ofcourse if your team is already tanky enough and you don't feel like buying a Guardian Angel for any reason, Buy a infinity edge for more damage!
If you have to buy some defensive item against their ad carry who shreds you buy thornmail or frozen heart. If their ap carry is focussed on killing you buy a force of nature and all your problems will be solved.

I buy a guardians in most cases though since it gives us an extra live and people are less focussed on killing you because you will revive anyway.

Again! If you don't agree with these items tell me in comments and give a reason why. I'll respond as quick as possible. Can't say this enough..
