Introduction
Introduction to Jayce - The Defender of Tomorrow
What does Riot have to say about Jayce?
Riot Gaming has characterized Jayce as the following: A ranged/melee fighter.
He is also the celebrated 100th champion to be released into the League.
What makes Jayce different from all of the other champions?
Well, to start it all off, the only other champion that even comes close to Jayce's skill set is Nidalee. Nidalee has a similar type of skill set such that she may transform into a cougar; this grants her three new abilities in the new form, however, takes her ultimate ability. And with this being said, Jayce acts in the same way. Alternatively, Jayce's weapon transforms between a hammer (including a skill set of three melee-based abilities) and a cannon (including a skill set of three ranged-based abilities). The big difference is that Nidalee is an Ability Power-based (AP) champion while Jayce, on the other hand, is an Attack Damage-based (AD) champion.
