but really no fix your build

I'm not arguing that he's still slow. I'm merely saying he's worth using, if you need what his kit provides; utility and a **** ton of CC. Just as you'd pick Volibear for his lane camping prowess and generally being a fat*** character, despite his slow clearing.

Or, you pick a jungler with a fast clear who can also gank effectively, and not even bother with this.

Actually, he's a ganking jungler. Best case scenario is Volibear camps lanes and farms champions. He usually only gets madreds if hes forced to farm because he can no longer gank. Same would go for Thresh I'd assume. Also the cooldown of Flay isn't that bad, and he would be rushing CDR anyway.

And then you look at the cooldown on his E and realize that holy ****! Lagger's right, he is a wriggles jungler. And whether or not you pick him for ganking is completely beside the point. Volibear is also a wriggles jungler.

jungle thresh does work...he just isn't the best choice...but than again there are lots of champs like that.

not that it matters now anyways because unless you are playing blind normals he is banned 75%+ of the time.

Volibear is also a slow jungler. Everyone thought he was trash because of that. Now look at him. Thresh, no matter what brings an absurd about of CC and utility, just by his abilities.

I'm not saying he's god tier, I'm just saying he's not a terrible pick either.

AND; I should probably put some actual criticism to the guide, needs more detail. You cover items well enough but you have no real substance to the guide beyond that. Check out some of the higher rated jungle guides to see what kind of things you should add.

^thank you, his clears are actually pretty competitive if you stack E with it's new passive

Item build is ****. Thresh is a Madreds jungler.

No he isnt. He can use spirit of the ancient golem just fine. You aren't using thresh as a jungler for his clearing at all. You're using him for his ganks and utility.

Also, we're forgetting that his AoE clear and his single target DPS are now the same ability, which probably actually increased his jungling speed.

Many reasons, actually:
  • Clear speed is ****
  • No sustain
  • Soul collection rate is substantially lower than when in lane
  • Needs to buy single-player items to remain relevant, delaying locket and aegis for midgame teamfights
  • Ganks are good, but there are other junglers who do this jungling business better in every single aspect.
