Updated guide with much more reliable item build and better explanations for some sections, along with new stuff everywhere.

I tried DFG and i liked it on Karma. I wouldn't get it unless you can burst someone down with dfg + shieldmantra and wave.

Actually Kage's Lucky Pick is staying still. They are replacing the Mana Regen with a Blasting Wand. So DFG will still have it. I would love to help you to make it pretty however it is starting to get to finals time so I will not be that free. I also have to keep up my two guides.

If you can wait until the weekend of May 12-13 I'll be glad to help you make this guide look better. Otherwise I cannot help sooner.

Kage's Lucky Pick will not be part of DFG anymore though, but yeah I'm excited to see the changes to DFG.

I will try out brute force instead of havoc the logic is sound. It seems to help though only if you can't already last hit and it's only an extra 2 damage (as you'll get an extra 1 or so from havoc). Thanks for feedback. Also, if someone would like to make it look pretty I'd be happy to let you.

I agree with CasterMaster with this guide being a wall of text and not that pretty to read. Also he is right about the mastery change. For mages it is harder to last hit than it is for AD based champions so this makes it easier. To do damage you need items. For items you need gold. Listen to this guy he knows what he is talking about.

Also DFG will be seen more and more once the patch comes out so definitely consider it. With Kage's Lucky Pick already being a part of it helping you get gold you also get a fantastic active and more of an AP boost than you did previously.

Sulfuric: Check it out. 1.5% increased damage. That's...like nothing. If you can deal 1000 damage, then Havoc would make you deal 15 more damage. Whereas 3 points to Brute Force allows you to last hit minions easier and dominate late game.

Why would I want Brute Force instead of Havoc? Brute Force does not increase magic damage. It might be easier to last hit and do extra damage with your autoattacks on enemies, but isn't it better to have extra damage from your abilities as a mage?

Huge wall of text, not fun to read. I like your ideas though. Deathfire Grasp is amazing on Karma, trust me on this one (especially after the coming patch). Brute Force > Havoc . Turn on comment to vote please. +1

In reply to the post above:
1) You are definitely correct on this one. I have been running CDR boots instead of Sorc shoes recently and find that it's usually better. With blue buff you will have 39% CDR, and you should be grabbing it as much as you can. You may notice that I suggested you sell your Sorc shoes for CDR boots after getting void staff.

2) I feel like the mana regen, ap, and hp you get from Doran's Ring is usually better than the extra speed from boots. Yes, boots are good for helping you escape from ganks early on, but I feel that the ability to shield yourself and heal yourself, plus the extra 80hp from doran's ring let's you live through most ganks. Also, that's why I pick flash. A successful gank may be simply, "Well, he used flash", but wasting flash is not a death, and that's what I care about. If they come and gank you again after you use flash, then you might have a problem but hopefully you will have gone back to get catalyst by then, and at that point ganks are less of a threat.

3) I haven't tried DFG on Karma. The CDR is good and makes you less dependent on blue buff . . . I'll have to try it.

4) The extra 135 AP that you get from a Zhonyas Hourglass is very helpful and I think it's better to have that much more AP than an extra 49 armor. Again the CDR is nice and I would get it on a support Karma, but this is a carry build and I think the AP is better. I will try getting FH more often.

Nothing can beat "The Comprehensive Karma" anyways, but guide isn't bad :)

Only things about the build is

1) Choose between either flat MR Red/Magic pen. from Sorcerer's Shoes+ Abyssal Mask or % pen. from Void Staff. Combined, they are not as efficient.

2) Don't start with Doran's Ring. Middle laners need botts badly for how squishy they are. If you don't have boots, you are such an easy gank, especially for some Lee Sin or Nocturne who can slow/fear/dash/speed up...
Additionally, with a Doran you have no Health Potions, which is kind of ok since Karma can heal, but you would rather want to save Mantra charges for Soul Shield.

Get a point in Spirit Bond earlier (at either 3/4, imho) to be safe from ganks.

Another important thing is that Karma's burst may be good, but it's not enough sometimes. Try picking Deathfire Grasp for her. It does wonders in terms of damage, not speaking of 15% CDR which is HUGE for Mantra regeneration and which your build badly lacks, imo.

Also, for Karma, Frozen Heart> Zhonya's Hourglass. CDR is much more important then AP due to the fact that no matter how much AP you have, you can't untilize it for Soul Shield unless you have Mantra charges up. It also makes her deceptively tanky.
If not get FH, definitely get a Glacial Shroud...

Hope I brought some good points up ;) Good luck with the guide!

Well put together. I like karma AP, and support. I'm sorry you have thumbs downs, it is only because you made a guide for karma and people just passively hate her :) I'll be giving you +1. If you've got the time check out my for fun karma build :)
